Childhood and family of Dmitry Kombarov
Dmitry's hometown is Moscow. He and his twin brother Kirill early childhood played sports. At the age of three and a half, their father took them to gymnastics, then the children went in for wushu. They started training in the nursery football school"Spartak" from the age of five. The father, who was an avid fan of Spartak and personally knew the coach Nikolai Parshin, himself was fond of football from the age of twelve. When his sons were born, he decided that he would raise footballers out of them. 
The Kombarov brothers played football, and at the age of nine they also began attending kidboxing classes. When the boys turned fourteen, they left the Spartak school, as the coach considered the Kombarovs unpromising. So Dmitry and Kirill ended up in the school of the capital's Dynamo, where Yuri Mentyukov was their mentor.
Due to the scandalous departure from the Spartak school, matches with this team have always been of fundamental importance for Dmitry. Since 2004, he and his brother have played for the double of Dynamo.
The beginning of the career of football player Dmitry Kombarov
In 2005, Kombarov first appeared in the main team, entering the field against Dynamo from Bryansk. Both brothers played for Dynamo until 2010, when negotiations began on their transfer back to Spartak. 
As you know, the transition was made when Spartak paid ten million dollars. One of the reasons was that Spartak is a team playing in the Champions League, and this was a step forward for the players, an opportunity to develop. Another reason was that the Kombarovs initially studied at the Spartak school before moving to Dynamo.
Yuri Isaev, as president of Dynamo, said that both brothers would most likely remain at the club, subject to an increase in their wages. The club did not agree to these conditions. When deciding on the transition, the Kombarovs consulted with their agent and with their father.

Dmitry, like his brother, began playing for Spartak in August 2010. He entered the field in a match against the Tom team. With a score of four or two, the Spartacists won. Dmitry's head coach in this team was Valery Karpin. He called the debut of a football player on the field for Spartak excellent. 
Less than a month later, Dmitry took part in the game against Marseille in the Champions League. Thanks to the accurate cross of the player, the only goal in that match was scored.
Kombarov scored his first goal in this team from the penalty spot during the game against Zenit. The goal was the winner. Spartak won with a score of one-zero. The match took place in October 2010.

Dmitry's debut goal in European competition took place in February 2012, when Spartak fought with the Swiss Basel. The footballer played the 2011-2012 sports season as a central midfielder. Dmitry was transferred to a different position quite unexpectedly for the fans. In the match against Lokomotiv, he did not take the usual position of the left midfielder, but ended up in the center of the field. After the match, his game was positively assessed by Valery Karpin. The coach noted that he plans to continue to use the player in the center of the field. Dmitry is appreciated by coaches for being able to play both on the flanks and in the center of midfield. He has experience playing as a winger. The football player is able to bring the greatest benefit on the left flank of midfield. He has an accurate cross into the penalty area and a directed cross. Kombarov is capable of performing a large amount of work.

For the first time Dmitry was called up to the second national team of the country in 2011. His debut in the main team took place in 2012, when Kombarov came out in a friendly match against Denmark. He got into the extended squad before Euro 2012. The player was selected by Dick Advocaat in early May 2012. At the tournament, he did not appear on the field even once. Nevertheless, the only Spartak footballer, who was Dmitry Kombarov, was included in the national team's application for Euro 2012. 
Under Fabio Capello, Dmitry began to appear in the national team matches in the first team. His position is full back. During the qualifying round for the 2014 World Cup, the athlete was on the field in all ten matches.

Dmitry has already been included in the list of thirty-three best football players of the national championship three times. The football player married in the fall of 2011. His wife's name is Tatyana. In 2012, a daughter, Ulyana, was born in the family. Young people met about six years before the wedding. Tatyana worked in a clothing store. There Dmitry met her. 
Dmitry has a great relationship with his twin brother. They consult with each other in almost everything, call each other daily, although this was not always the case. In childhood, quarrels and fights often arose between them, the brothers often argued over something. Already in high school, Dmitry and Kirill began to communicate as best friends. The reason for leaving is disputes with the coach, who believed that they had no football future. The brothers continued to study under the leadership of Dynamo. The first games were held in 2004 for the backup team.
Carier start
The first appearance of Kombarov on the field in the starting lineup happened in 2005 in the cup game. In 2010, the brothers were offered a contract with Spartak Moscow. The transfer was soon made. The total cost of the transition was ten million dollars. The brothers indicated the possibility of career growth as a circumstance for the transfer. Plus, that season Spartak took part in the Champions League.
The president of Dynamo subsequently stated that Dmitry Kombarov and his brother would most likely have remained in the team with a salary increase. However, management did not accept the proposed conditions.

Photos of Dmitry Kombarov and his brother, who moved to the camp of the "red-white", instantly spread among the fans. The transfer was received ambiguously among Dynamo and Spartak fans. Dmitry played his debut game in the new team against Tom. The club from Moscow confidently won. The mentor of Spartak at that moment was who highly appreciated the performance of Kombarov.
Soon Dmitry Kombarov took part in the Champions League. The game was played against French Marseille. During the match, only one goal was scored from Dmitry's pass. The starting ball in the "red-white" Kombarov played in the game against the St. Petersburg "Zenith". The ball was converted from a penalty kick and turned out to be the winner during that meeting. Dmitry received his first call to the second team in 2011. At the beginning of 2012, proposals were received from the main Russian team. Kombarov was able to make his debut soon in a friendly match against Denmark.
Together with the national team, Kambarov took part in Euro 2012, but he failed to enter the game in any match. He scored his first goal for the national team from the penalty spot in the game against Armenia. The match took place in early March 2014. At the World Cup in Brazil, Kombarov entered the field in three matches.
Personal life
In the fall of 2011, Kombarov got married. In 2012, the couple had a daughter, who was named Ulyana.
The twin brothers have a great relationship. Before doing something, they consult with each other and constantly communicate. During their studies, the brothers managed to take exams for each other. However, in childhood, there were still frequent skirmishes between the guys.
The only Russian football player that Pep would appreciate.
Kombarov's most important and rarest quality for the RFPL is passes from the flank, returning the game to the center. On the basic settings, any opponent blocks the center - therefore, such a pass is always risky, therefore, they almost never do such passes in the Premier League.
A great goal by Luis Adriano shows the importance of such passes. It is Kombarov's transfer that is the key action in this episode. Paz created a 4-in-5 situation for Spartak on the counterattack. This is a very favorable ratio for the attacking side.
Spartak played the moment beautifully, but the true effectiveness of the episode is in Kombarov's pass. Usually such passes (breaking pressure and creating profitable situations for partners) are made by Sergi Busquets from the support zone. Kombarov passed from the flank, but played in a similar style.
I would not sing Dmitry so much if: 1) the decision was not so non-obvious; 2) he didn't do that regularly.

The decision of a good Russian player - also a safe solution, which requires a little more technology. Doesn't hurt, but doesn't really help the team either.
The tough legionnaire's decision - as a rule, difficult in execution and not the most obvious. Gives the team a slight advantage.
Busquets/Kombarov solution - a top solution that significantly improves the position of the team.

Who knows where Kombarov's skill comes from, which in Russian football is killed in the bud, but it's very cool. Although, of course, does not negate its shortcomings. It is Kombarov who most often messes up (banally underperforms) when Spartak concedes from set pieces, and he still does not impress in defense.
Let's return to the absurd theory from the title. Guardiola once said: "There are very few players in the world who can break the opponent's first line of pressure with a forward pass into the central zone." This is the quality he values the most. Usually, such players play in the support zone and are very expensive - there are few of them among the flank defenders. Pep is keen to work with those, even if it means that a player who is individually weak in defense will come out on the flank of the defense. These shortcomings are compensated by the desire to plow and the Pep system. Therefore, City are damn good even with Fabian Delph on the left in defense.
I am aware of the absurdity of fantasy and the number of assumptions, but purely in the theory of Kombarov - with his smart passes - I would not be lost in Guardiola's system. There are no more such players in Russia.
