Hedgehog and Bear cub were friends. In the evenings, we drank tea together, counting the flaming stars. Once, on the way to a friend, the Hedgehog fell into a dense fog, where the world looked different and seemed hostile.

The hedgehog was pursued by Owl, surrounded by unusual sounds and shadows. Even a firefly did not help - the kid got lost, lost his bundle with delicious jam and fell into the river.

But everything ended well. The stranger offered help to the little hero and drove him to the right bank on his back. Good Dog emerged from the fog and gave the Hedgehog his bundle. The bear was very happy that his friend was unharmed, and after that they sat and drank tea. Only the Hedgehog could not forget about the horse he saw in the fog. He was worried if she would be okay.

Wrote the fairy tale Hedgehog in the Fog Sergei Kozlov.

The protagonist of the story Hedgehog. He is a rather inquisitive character of a fairy tale, is in everything beauty, loves to observe nature.

The hedgehog is watching the fog, as he sits on the ground, and the stars as well. In the end, he saw a horse and went down the hill in search of her. Because of the fog, the hedgehog sees nothing in its path and falls into the river. Then a stranger offered him help and saved the bear cub. The hedgehog was on the shore and reflects on what happened.

For everyone: the mythological archetypes of the cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog".

The composition of the fairy tale "Hedgehog in the Fog" is built on the spatial movement of the protagonist along the border of two worlds - the real and the other world. The hedgehog starts its journey at dusk, during the period of transition from daylight to night darkness.
The most important creature for which the Hedgehog descends into the fog is White horse, drowned in the fog up to the chest, has a white suit, which immediately translates it into a system of images of the afterlife. The horse, not only in religion, but also in fairy tales, is represented as a funeral animal. The main function of the horse is mediation between the two kingdoms. Therefore, the desire of the Hedgehog to find out what is happening with the horse can be assessed as an interest in the phenomena of the other world, and the journey of the hero of a fairy tale itself can be assessed as a Path of knowledge passing through the border of two worlds.
A tree met by a hedgehog - a huge Oak - becomes a symbol of such knowledge. This is a vivid image of the World Tree, which topographically passes through the boundaries of the three worlds - chthonic, earthly and heavenly, representing the structure of the Cosmos.
The greatness of the tree shocks the Hedgehog so much that he loses a bundle of raspberry jam for the Bear cub - a magical item that symbolizes the hero's connection with the real world. Finds and brings a bundle Dog - a creature that is a guide to the kingdom of the dead (Egyptian Anubis).
On the way in the fog, the hedgehog meets the River - an important mythological symbol, an element of sacred topography. the hedgehog falls into the water, experiencing a kind of death (it was carried along by the current). But a kind spirit is also found in the river - a silently speaking invisible fish, as a kind of equivalent of the lower world, the kingdom of the dead. The fish takes the Hedgehog to the other side, to the earth - the middle world, the center of space and the beginning of life.
The purpose of the Hedgehog's journey was to meet the Bear Cub - together they counted the stars (a symbol of the upper world in archaic mythology). This is seen as the motive of knowledge, and at the same time confirmation of another sacred knowledge - about immortality. A vivid confirmation of this knowledge is juniper twigs constantly burning in the fire, on which the Bear cub (another archaic chthonic symbol) puts a samovar. The symbolism of death and its overcoming as the beginning of eternal life is steadily associated with the juniper in mythological representations. The Hedgehog is so shocked by the picture of the universe that has opened up for him that he remains indifferent to the actions of the Bear cub and continues to think about the actions of the White Horse in the fog, i.e. his consciousness continues to remain on the border of two worlds, on the shaky verge of conscious and unconscious comprehension of being.

Review of the fairy tale "Hedgehog in the Fog"
I really liked the beautiful fairy tale by Sergei Kozlov. I especially liked the prudence and calmness of the hedgehog, who was not afraid of anything and took everything for granted. The bear cub is the second main character of the tale, he is kind and reliable. But the Hare in the fairy tale is sheer and very restless, always in a hurry somewhere and in a hurry.

The light is not sweet when there is no friend.
There is no bad weather.
Without a friend in the heart of a blizzard.

Summary, brief retelling fairy tales "Hedgehog in the Fog" chapter by chapter
Hedgehog in the fog
The night was amazing and thirty squeaky mosquitoes had already sharpened their violins. Cows mooed across the river and moon hares were already running along the paths.
Fog rose from the river and the horse drowned in it chest-deep.
The hedgehog looked at the fog and enjoyed the beauty of the night. He thought about what would happen if the horse was completely plunged into the fog. Maybe she'll drown in the fog?
And he decided to go down into the fog.
The hedgehog went down the hill and found himself in the fog. The fog was so thick that the Hedgehog could not see the paws and made his way to the touch.
Suddenly, the ground shook under him and the Hedgehog fell into the water.
He floundered for a while. but then he decided that the river itself would carry him somewhere, took a deep breath and swam.
Suddenly someone touched him and asked what he was doing in the river.
The hedgehog replied that he had fallen into the river.
The stranger invited the Hedgehog to sit on his back and took him to the shore. Who it was the Hedgehog did not understand, but he thanked his savior.
The hedgehog decided that no one would believe him.
Autumn song of the grass. Sounds and voices.
The hedgehog and the Bear cub lie on the grass and listen to the sounds. The Hedgehog tells his friend that all sounds are special and invites Little Bear to listen to the frog. But the frog is silent and the Bear cub does not want to listen to the sounds.
When you hide the sun it makes me sad
It's been raining. Hedgehog and Bear cub began to play close your eyes. To do this, you just had to quickly close your eyes, and when you opened them, everything became different.
Today they looked at the mountain and it was so foggy. Suddenly the mountain asked the friends if they liked looking at it.
The little bear said that he likes to look at the mountain in the morning, because then there is a whole day ahead.
The hedgehog said that he likes to watch in the evening, although the mountain hides the sun, because then it seems that you are standing on the very top.
Allow me to have a chat with you.
The hare came to friends to have a twilight. But he did not know what it was and how to behave. Therefore, he either chatted incessantly about various nonsense, then he began to sing songs.
Finally, the Hedgehog interrupted the Hare and asked him to sit in silence.
So they were twilight until a golden slice of the moon appeared over the forest.
How to shade the silence
The hedgehog says that mosquitoes on a cloudy day set off his stillness.
The little bear does not understand the meaning of this word.
Then the Hedgehog gives an example with a motionless forest. He begins to run and says that his running sets off the stillness of the forest.
The little bear still does not understand anything, especially since the Hedgehog runs so funny.
And then the Hedgehog comes up with a way out. He screams and tells Little Bear to listen to the silence. The cry of the Hedgehog sets off the silence.
And friends began to run, jump and shout.
In native forest
In autumn, the Hare walked through the forest and admired its beauty. He was waiting for the first snow.
Suddenly he met a Forest Mouse and she taught him to run backwards so that no one would understand who ran where and where.
The Hare offered to teach the Mouse to eat the bark, but the Mouse refused.
And when the Hare asked how he could repay her advice, the Mouse replied that it would be good if her advice really helped the Hare.
Pine cone.
The Hare ran to the river, the river runs somewhere, in a hurry. The ant came and took water. The Hare wanted to talk with the Ant, but he is in a hurry.
There is absolutely no one to talk to the Hare. Suddenly he sees an old pine cone lying on the shore, offers to talk to her.
The cone told how she hung high on a pine tree, listened to the wind and admired the stars. And how the wind promised to take her to the stars and she fell.
And now she lies, remembers the wind, and she feels good and calm.
Autumn grass song
AT autumn forest It became cold. Someone asked the hare if he was cold. He answered yes and asked who was speaking. It turned out, says the grass. The grass asked the Hare to warm it, and the Hare lay down on the grass. The grass beneath him became warm.
Then the Little Bear came and also began to heat the grass. They rolled on the grass and soon the whole meadow warmed up.
Grass offered to sing them an autumn song.
At this time, the Hedgehog shouted to them to get up from the grass, otherwise they would catch a cold.
Rainbow.
The teddy bear was sitting near the warm stove and he felt good.
He saw summer and warmth. And the Ant, who persistently persuaded the Bear cub to work hard, because it is the duty of everyone to work.
But the Little Bear called the Ant from the summer to the stove, and he squeezed his way into his place with difficulty. And was in the summer. The little bear climbed into the warm water and began to raise the spray, admiring the rainbow.
The ant shouted from the stove that the Bear cub should work, but the Bear cub did not listen to him.
Ezhikina mountain.
The hedgehog saw just a huge sky and did not answer the questions of the Squirrel and the Ant. The ant ran away about his business, and the Hedgehog stood and watched. The ant came back, and the Hedgehog kept looking at the sky.
The ant called the Hedgehog a slacker, and the Squirrel stood up and said that the Hedgehog was thinking.
The hedgehog thought that Squirrel was very kind.
Bird.
The hare wove a rope for a long time to throw it on a star. And so he attached a hook to the rope, threw it on a star, and together with Squirrel they climbed the rope.
But the Squirrel quickly climbed up to the very star, and the Hare climbed badly and hung in the middle.
The Hare is hanging, he understands that now his paws will open and he will fall. Suddenly he hears someone talking downstairs, arguing that it is hanging in the sky. The hedgehog said it was a bird. and the Hare thought he was a rare bird.
The squirrel shouted to the Hedgehog that it was the Hare hanging. The Hedgehog and the Bear cub decided to save the Hare and the Bear cub ran for the sheet. Friends shouted to the Hare to jump and the Hare jumped.
He flew and flew, and could not fall.
On a warm, quiet morning in the middle of winter. Free autumn wind.
Once, a Hare ran to the clearing where the Hedgehog and the Bear cub were sitting. He began to run around them and shout. The hedgehog was angry and asked why he was running.
The Magpie said that the Hare was out of his mind, but the Woodpecker, on the contrary, claimed that the Hare was out of his mind.
And the Little Bear suggested that the Hare imagined himself as a wind.
But the Hare did not answer anything to anyone, because he really imagined himself as a free autumn wind.
We will come and breathe.
Everyone was getting ready for winter. The birds insulated the nests, the squirrel insulated the hollow, and the Hare breathed in his hole. The Hedgehog and the Bear cub came to the Hare and called him to come out, because anyway you won’t breathe before the winter. But the Hare answered that he would breathe.
Then the Hedgehog and the Little Bear also began to breathe into the hare's hole, and soon it became hot there like in a bathhouse.
Then the Hare came out of the hole. The Hedgehog and the Bear cub called the Hare to them in winter, to breathe. And the Hare asked them not to come in winter, so as not to trample near the hole. Because otherwise it will definitely be eaten.
Chanterelle.
One fine autumn day, the Bear cub began to cry. He wept with joy, he was sorry for everything. That the birds are flying away, that winter is coming. He told the Hedgehog that he would cry in winter too.
And the Hedgehog realized that words could not help here, and so they ran.
The friends ran up the mountain, and the Hedgehog showed the Bear Cub a mushroom, a chanterelle in the moss. He said that the fox has neither a father nor a mother, she is completely alone and does not cry.

Don't look at me like that, Hedgehog.
Once the Hedgehog fell into a hole and sat in it for seven days. The bear cub was looking for him all over the forest. Found Hedgehog Squirrel and pulled him out of the pit. And now the Hedgehog was lying at home and the Bear cub was taking care of him. He asked not to look at him like that. He covered the Hedgehog with a sheepskin coat and fed broth from a spoon.
He persuaded the Hedgehog to eat a spoon for the Hare, who helped, for the Hamster, who simply came and asked, for the Eagle Owl, on which the Bear cub flew through the forest for three days.
And the Hare saw the Owl and the Bear cub and got scared.
The hedgehog drank the broth and said that he would also fly on Owl.
How the Hedgehog and the Bear cub dreamed of the Hare.
Once the Hare ran to the Bear cub and began to say that he was the best in the world. The Hedgehog came and confirmed that the Bear cub is really the best.
And the Hare said that in a dream he was all alone in the forest, and the sky hung like cotton wool. And then the Bear cub crawled out from under the stump and hugged the Hare. And they stood together and wept.
And the Hedgehog said that he was also there, he just did not approach, but stood on the sidelines. The hare did not believe it and asked what he had with him. And the Hedgehog said that there was a bag, and the Bear cub added that with a carrot. And the Hare said they were the best.
Crow.
Raven sat on a branch and looked at the snow. He thought that winter was coming and decided to fly. He flew and croaked.
The Hedgehog and the Bear cub saw Raven on a stump and called him to drink tea.
The raven refused, said that he did not drink tea. The Hedgehog and the Bear cub persuaded him, lured him with jam, but the Raven flew away.
And the Hedgehog and the Bear cub decided that they would definitely call Raven for tea again.
If I don't exist at all.
Hedgehog and Bear cub sat and looked at the moon. Suddenly the Hedgehog asked what the Bear cub would do if he was not there. The Bear cub said that he would go to the Hedgehog, and if he is not at home, then he is with the Bear Cub. And he will look for him.
But the Hedgehog insisted, saying that he was not at all.
The little bear was offended and said that if there is no Hedgehog at all, then he, the Little Bear, is also completely gone.
And silently began to look at the month.
On a warm, quiet morning in the middle of winter.
The little bear thought about the long winter and decided whether to heat the stove. He decided to ask the Hedgehog.
He ran to the Hedgehog, and he looked at the winter rain and was surprised.
The hedgehog suggested, since it was raining and it became warm, to go to have breakfast on the river. And friends took food and went to the river. Squirrel joined them, and then Hamster.
Friends had breakfast by the river and talked about how good it was that it had rained, otherwise they would not have seen each other until spring. It's good that it rained, otherwise they wouldn't have said goodbye. It's good that the Hedgehog came up with the idea of having breakfast on the river.
Only the Hedgehog silently thought about why the winter forest needed warmth?

Drawings and illustrations for the fairy tale "Hedgehog in the Fog"

In the evenings, the Hedgehog went to visit the Bear cub to count the stars.
They sat down on a log and, sipping tea, looked at the starry sky.
It hung over the roof, right behind the chimney.
To the right of the pipe were the stars of the Little Bear, and to the left - the Hedgehog.

At first, the Hedgehog walked through a field, where a flock of nocturnal Mayflies surrounded him, then he entered a pine forest.

And when he left, Owl was already sneaking after him, spreading his wings.

But the Hedgehog did not notice him.
He carried raspberry jam to Little Bear and looked up at the sky.

"Star!" - the Hedgehog suddenly stopped.
Owl almost ran into him and also stared up at the sky.
“And in the puddle the Star ...” - the Hedgehog said to himself, seeing her reflection.

The eagle owl also leaned over the puddle, but saw nothing but himself and, getting angry, loosened the water with his shaggy paw.

And the Hedgehog was already looking into the dark old well.
"Yes!" - shouted the Hedgehog.
"Uh-huh!" - boomed in response to the old well.
The hedgehog jumped to the ground and hummed along the way, as if throwing a pebble: “Uh-huh!”.

And Owl, passing by the well, also shouted: “Uh-huh! ..” and stopped, surprised.
The well answered him: “Uh-huh-uh-uh!”.

Owl perched on the frame of the well and again shouted: “Uh-huh!”.
And the well in response, booming: "Uh-huh-u-u-u-u-u...".
Owl giggled and they hooted, listening to each other - Owl and the old well.

And the Hedgehog with his bundle was already mincing further, talking to the Bear Cub to himself:
“And I’ll tell him:“ And I brought you raspberry jam.
And he will say to me: “So the samovar has caught a cold, it would be necessary to throw up branches ... these ... well, what are they ... juniper!”
And I'll tell him... and I'll tell him... and I'll tell him...'
And suddenly froze.

Right in front of him, a white horse floated out of the mist.

“But it’s interesting,” thought the Hedgehog, “if the Horse goes to bed, will it choke in the fog?”

And he began to slowly descend the hill to get into the fog and see how it was inside.
“Here, you can’t see anything. And you can't even see the paws."

"Horse!" - called the Hedgehog.
But the Horse said nothing.

And then a dry Leaf fell on the Hedgehog.
The hedgehog closed his eyes with his paws in fear ... and when he looked out ... from under the Leaf, mysteriously shaking his house, the Snail swam away into the fog ...
The hedgehog cautiously lifted the dry leaf...
And very near heard breathing:
"A-ha, a-ha!" - the Elephant breathed, raising its sides and puffing up to the sky.
Or was it not the Elephant?
The hedgehog carefully put Leaf in place and, backing away on tiptoe, went into the fog.

And a large, kind head of a Horse peeked out of the fog.
The head snorted deliciously and crunched the grass.
"Frrr!" - the horse's head sighed, and the dry Leaf, as if alive, shot up and crawled to the side.
Somewhere in the distance it rang and suddenly - “V-z-z-z!” - above the head of the Hedgehog, the Bat jumped and instantly disappeared.

"He-he-he-he-he!" - mimicked the Hedgehog and even ran after them, jumped up, waved his paws, imagining himself a night Butterfly, but suddenly froze, pressing the bundle ...

From the fog, as from a window, Owl looked out, hooted: “Uh-huh! U-gu-gu-gu-gu-gu! .. ”and disappeared into the fog.
“Psycho,” thought the Hedgehog, picked up a dry stick and, feeling the fog with it, moved forward.

The stick, like a blind one, wandered in the dark until it hit something hard.
"Knock Knock!" - Hedgehog knocked.
He put down the bundle and, turning over the stick with his paws, saw in front of him a tree with a huge hollow.
"A-ha!" - the Hedgehog carefully exhaled into the hollow.
"A-ah-ah-ah!" - the tree hummed. The hedgehog backed away and suddenly remembered the bundle.
He darted back, ran around a tree, spun in place...
There was no knot.

The tree was slowly covered in mist.
The hedgehog was left alone.

"Yo-hedgehog-i-i-i-i-k!" - as if someone's cry came from the ends of the earth.

The fog thickened around the Hedgehog.
The hedgehog tore off the blade of grass on which the Firefly was sitting, and, raising it high above his head, as if with a candle, bending over and peering at his feet, wandered through the fog.

The trees, like masts, sank into the mist.
A firefly - a small green beacon - barely flickering, swaying in the fog, illuminating the road.
But he also fell into the grass and went out. It got quite dark.

The fog swirled around the Hedgehog. And the hedgehog ran.
It seemed to him that a huge Snail, a Bat, an Eagle Owl were rushing out of the fog behind him ... an Elephant breathed, a Leaf fell from a tree.

The hedgehog fell into the grass and covered its head with its paws.

But then a dog appeared out of the fog. She put a bundle in front of the Hedgehog, yawned in the entire dog's mouth and disappeared into the fog.

"Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho!" - the Hedgehog rushed to the cry, but - boo-ty! - fell into the water.

“I am in the river,” the Hedgehog turned cold with fear and, after a while, decided, “let the river carry me by itself.”
He took a deep breath and the river carried him downstream.

The stars were burning high in the sky, the head of a Horse floated above him, somewhere in the distance a balalaika played thinly ...

“I am completely wet. I will drown soon, thought the Hedgehog.
Suddenly, someone touched his back paw.
"Excuse me... - Someone asked silently, - who are you and how did you get here?"
“I am a Hedgehog,” the Hedgehog also silently answered, “I fell into the river.”
“Then sit on my back,” Someone said soundlessly, “I will take you to the shore.”

The hedgehog sat down on someone's wide slippery back and in a minute was on the shore.
"Thanks!" - the Hedgehog said aloud.
"My pleasure!" - Someone said silently, whom the Hedgehog did not even see, and disappeared in the waves.

A hedgehog with a bundle sat on a log and looked straight ahead with fixed eyes.
Some hurried footsteps were heard.
"Hedgehog! Where were you? - plopped down beside the breathless Little Bear, - I called, called, but you did not respond! .. "
The hedgehog didn't say anything. He only slightly squinted his eyes in the direction of the Bear cub ...
