Going to a Zenit football match in St. Petersburg is not as scary as it could be. Unless, of course, you find yourself in a crowd of blue-white-blue fans, proudly carrying the flag of Moscow Spartak. Otherwise, everything is simple, from tickets and chants to getting into and out of the stadium.

How to buy tickets for Zenit

There are many points of sale in the city - these are Bileter.ru and kiosks, as well as special ticket terminals with which the whole city is studded. Here full list places to buy tickets for "Zenith": .

The most popular point for fans is the client office of FC Zenit, which is located opposite the Petrovsky stadium (address: Dobrolyubova Avenue, 16, letter A, building 2), in the Arena Hall business center on the first floor. The office is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. To find it faster, at the Sportivnaya metro station, find the sign “Prospect Dobrolyubova”.

Tickets can also be purchased at the box office of the Petrovsky stadium itself, but only on the day of the match (!), as well as at the central Zenit Arena store at 20 Nevsky Prospekt. Do not forget the blue-white-and-blue paraphernalia.

There is an option to buy tickets for Zenit online in advance (), prices do not differ from offline. Follow the link, pay with a card, check your mail and print tickets.

But it should be noted that not all places are sold through the Internet. You not buy tickets:
- in the guest sector. Each away team decides the issue of admitting fans to their sectors in different ways. In addition, in St. Petersburg, tickets to the guest sector can be purchased at the client office on Dobrolyubova Street.
- Sold on a promotion for students (you need to present a student ID).

The best places on "Petrovsky"

On sectors from 12 to 15 (see the diagram) for ordinary people going to football for the first time, the passage is closed. These places are reserved exclusively for the most devoted and rabid fans - ultras. Entrance there is carried out strictly by subscription. This is the famous "Virage". But you can't see much from there. More precisely, it is very hard to see, especially what is happening at the far gate.
Free sale is carried out in other sectors. Here they are a brief description of.

The 8th sector sometimes supports chants from the 7th sector.

The 7th sector is always yelling chants and other often obscene slogans against the neighboring 6th sector. Children should not be taken there. It looks good from there.

The 6th sector is usually a guest sector, where the opponent's fans are located.

The 5th sector is also a guest sector, but it is populated only if the enemy has an excess of a support group, for example, when CSKA or Spartak arrive.

Sector 4 is usually filled with fans who also chant chants.

In all fan sectors, fans support the team while standing during the match.
It is wise to take tickets to the central sectors, from there the view is better, and you won’t have to stand, as, for example, if you take a ticket to sector 4.

Sector 2 - family. If you go to football with the kids, it is better to take tickets there. Children under 7 years old enter the stadium free of charge, provided that they do not occupy a separate seat.

The club also takes care of people with disabilities, follow the link to find out about places for the disabled at the Petrovsky stadium ().

Ticket prices for Zenith

Zenit plays in several competitions: Russian Football Premier League(RFPL), Champions League (CH) or UEFA Europa League (LE), Russian Cup. For all these competitions, depending on the status of the opponent, prices vary. Attendance is also different - for matches with such giants Russian football like CSKA, Lokomotiv, Dynamo or Spartak, there are much more fans at the match.
Ticket prices for the Russian Championship range from 700 to 2600 rubles. Tickets for Champions League or Europa League matches are slightly more expensive.

Very often the club holds promotions for students. For some matches with weak opponents in cold weather (usually in late autumn and winter) in the 5th sector, tickets for this category of citizens are sold for only 250-300 rubles.

How safe is it to go to Zenith?

In terms of security, there is nothing to worry about, in general. The number of incidents at Zenith games, before and after them, does not exceed, and maybe even less than in other episodes of city life.

Even with major victories - in the UEFA Cup in 2008, over Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of the same tournament, the Russian Championship in 2007, etc. - the maximum that the fans allowed themselves was to block Nevsky Prospekt and arrange folk (and at the same time quite safe) festivities. We personally witnessed and participated in this. Well, a few ceiling lights in the subway were also damaged.

Despite a certain general demonic image of Zenit fans, the vast majority of them are peaceful and quite cultured people who can furiously and loudly swear at the opposing team and its fans, but at the same time, leaving the stadium, calmly get into a non-poor car and to go with the family to the Mariinsky Theatre.

Of course, fan fights, what is called the term "near football", happen from time to time, but they take place on the stadiums remote from ordinary citizens. Sometimes only their direct participants and police officers who keep an eye on the fan movement know about the battles.

Thousands of police officers are on duty at the Petrovsky stadium itself and on the approach to it. To get to the stadium, you need to go through two stages of inspection: first at the entrance to the stadium area, and then at Petrovsky itself. The whole procedure, even with a large crowd of people, takes 15-30 minutes.

You can’t bring to the Petrovsky stadium with you: bottles of water (even plastic ones), piercing and cutting objects, alcohol and much more, read more in the rules of conduct at the stadium (). Men are more thoroughly inspected, it is easier for girls to enter the stadium; the police check the contents of the bags, but everything is polite and prompt enough. The atmosphere is generally quite friendly.

During matches, vigilant stewards observe what is happening in the stands and stop any attempts to cause unrest. Fans, of course, allow themselves to burn pyrotechnics and even sometimes damage the property of the stadium, but it does not come to injuries.

How to get to the Petrovsky Stadium

Petrovsky is located at Petrovsky Island, 2, directly opposite the Sportivnaya metro station (do not confuse it with Sportivnaya-2, it is located on the other side of the Malaya Neva River).

There are several exits from Sportivnaya to the surface, follow the signs that are posted in the lobby after exiting the escalators. You need a sign to Bolshoy Prospekt, Petrovsky Stadium.

It's easier to get to the stadium on the day of the match: just follow the people in blue scarves and other branded paraphernalia, you will meet them at almost every metro station.

In addition, you can take a leisurely walk to Petrovsky from the metro stations Petrogradskaya, Gorkovskaya, Chkalovskaya, Sportivnaya-2 (through the Tuchkov bridge).

How to get from the city by public transport, in addition to the metro, is well written on the club's official website:.

Our recommendation: arrive at the match an hour and a half before starting whistle so as not to go to the stadium in a large stream of people. Football is loved in St. Petersburg, and Zenit is one of the most visited teams in the Russian championship. And "Petrovsky" accommodates 20,985 people!

What to do at halftime

A football match lasts approximately 2 hours. There is a 15 minute break between halves. During this time, you will have time to have a snack with hot hot dogs, custard noodles, hot chocolate or tea. All food is sold at the door. There are also toilets, located opposite the snack stalls.

How to go home after the Zenit match?

Getting home after football is quite difficult. Car owners have their own understandable problems associated with a large number of cars. Those who travel by metro will also have a hard time. After each Zenit match, Sportivnaya metro station is closed for 40 minutes. Therefore, most of the spectators go to the nearest stations - Petrogradskaya and Chkalovskaya, some reach Gorkovskaya. The closest is Chkalovskaya, about 20 minutes walk.

October 9 will be the first match in history at the stadium "FC Krasnodar". The organizers of the fight have already announced that it will not be possible to bring seeds into the arena. Portal" Euro-Football.Ru" evaluated the world experience to find out what else could be added to the "black list".

In fact, the list of prohibited items is quite wide. It is forbidden to bring alcohol, glass containers, piercing and cutting objects, bulky bags, laser pointers and much more into arenas around the world. During the European Championship, which was held in France in 2016, it was forbidden to carry megaphones which are actively used in many countries.

As a rule, prohibitions are aimed at ensuring safety. For this reason, during the same Euro 2016, it was forbidden to carry hats with horns, which are often worn by fans of the Scandinavian teams. Eight years earlier, the Swiss authorities during their World Cup banned bells that are over 25 centimeters in size.

However, the bans are often more interesting. The management of Manchester United, for example, banned large tablets. The fact is that some fans, in pursuit of selfies, prevented other spectators from watching football. By the way, selfie sticks are also banned in many stadiums, but again a safety issue.

In general, they have been fighting with electronics in stadiums for a long time. UEFA for European Cup matches are forbidden to bring to the stands professional cameras. They are also struggling with technology that allows you to shoot and distribute sound for commercial purposes - the same voice recorders, images, data or match description. True, in the era of smartphones, it is extremely difficult to fight this ban.

In general, with the development of technology, this particular point has to be increased more and more. So during Euro 2016, it was separately noted that you can’t come to stadiums with drones.

Galitsky forbade bringing to the stadium pipes. If we recall the 2010 World Cup and vuvuzelas, then the desire of the owner of Krasnodar seems logical and understandable. By the way, those vuvuzelas after the World Cup in South Africa, they fell into the status of prohibited items almost everywhere in Europe.

You can't come to football matches with animals and birds. As a rule, guide dogs are the only exception. During the 2010 World Cup, Nigerians were especially worried about this item. Fans of this team wanted to carry into the stands live chickens, who are the team's mascot but were rejected.

The issue of food and drinks remains open: some stadiums can bring them, some cannot. At the same time, in some places a ban on carrying is prescribed separately bananas. In recent years, there has been a love of throwing them on the field, after which the clubs began to be accused of racism. As a result, away from sin, this fruit was blacklisted by many.

During the European Championship, UEFA prohibited any promotional materials from being brought into the stadium: from banners before booklets. And you couldn’t take rolls with you to the arenas toilet paper .

However, bans often backfire. UEFA permanently bans use at Barcelona matches flags Catalonia. However, with each reminder, there are only more red-yellow banners.
