On June 10, as part of the big show of the First Channel, the final of the TV project King of the Ring took place at the Luzhniki Small Sports Arena. Unfortunately, the world heavyweight champion Sultan Ibragimov could not come to the project, good reason remained in Rostov-on-Don, but the head of the TV channel Konstantin Ernst and the President of the Federation were present as guests of honor professional boxing Russian Victor Petrovich Ageev.
The TV show launched on April 15 of this year proudly showed a rating of 7.4%, according to TNS Gallup Media's TV Index research. The share of those who watched the program on the territory of the Russian Federation was 21.6%, i.е. every fifth person who turned on the TV watched "King of the Ring".
In a live performance on June 10, the audience saw everything in full - and numerous special effects, and the traditional ring announcer of the show, Vladimir Pozner, and again were able to appreciate the skill and shortcomings of the project participants.
Of course, it was difficult to expect the quality of real fights of professional boxers from them, but no one expected them - the audience wanted to see their favorite heroes, and they saw them.
In the match for third place, Anatoly Zhuravlev had to get up from a knockdown in the first round, recover from heavy blows in the second round of the fight before he took control of the fight and won on points after five rounds of the fight. 
Also, the audience was in for a surprise - a fight former athletes, and now film actors Dolph Lungren and Oleg Taktarov. It was difficult to expect a fierce battle from the fight of former athletes who had never seriously engaged in boxing, and even now far from their best form. And in general it was difficult to expect this from the calm and melancholy Oleg and the nervous, but cheerful Dolph in a no less cheerful yellow personalized dressing gown. The fight was held according to the same formula as the fights of the participants in the final: 5 rounds of one and a half minutes each with a break of 2 minutes. Lungren showed good for his age physical form, Taktarov - held a master class of defense, attacked well in the torso and deservedly won by unanimous decision of the judges. His rival, however, was not upset, and confirmed his intention to act in Russian cinema. 
And in the main fight of the evening, Evgeny Dyatlov and Edgard Zapashny determined who would get the title of "King of the Ring". After five hard rounds of a close and intense fight, the judges were divided. The name of the winner of the project was named by Alla Pugacheva, who commented on what was happening in the ring together with Kirill Nabutov - and Edgard Zapashny became the champion. 
Not even this is remarkable, but the fact that both Kirill Nabutov and Vladimir Pozner clearly indicated: Zapashny is the first champion, and there will be more others. Therefore, it is worth hoping that the show will continue, the organizers will save the project from some shortcomings, the new participants will be as attractive to the public as the old ones, and the audience will be able to compare what is happening on the project with the real ones. professional fights, which will also return to Channel One.

After the media linked the hospitalization of the TV presenter with participation in the "Kings of the Ring", Pelsha's press secretary Ekaterina Sokolova said that this was not the case and Valdis ended up in a hospital bed due to long-standing "sores". However, doctors do not exclude that Valdis may need an operation.
Even though there is no connection between the boxing show and hospitalization, the injuries sustained by Valdis cannot be called trifling: in the very first fight, the bag of the popular TV presenter was torn shoulder joint and the shoulder was dislocated, as well as the arm bone was damaged. In addition, doctors suspected Pelsh had a concussion, but later the suspicions were not confirmed. All these injuries Valdis Pelsh received during the fight with Pierre Narcissus, who even visually outnumbered his opponent. The duel with Narcissus was the last for Valdis, after this fight Pelsh dropped out of the fight.
Pelsh's place was taken by Alexander Nosik, who lasted 6 fights in the ring. The famous artist left the ring more than once with bruises, bruises and abrasions. Perhaps this is due to the fact that Epifantsev, not owning boxing techniques, chose for himself the courtyard tactics "head attack". Evgeny Dyatlov, who had previously boxed, had a slight advantage over his opponents, the result was a sprain right hand. Anatoly Zhuravlev lasted only two fights in the show. Zhuravlev clearly followed the instructions of the defense, because of which he did the impossible: he defeated Zapashny. Pierre Narcisse stood in the ring for seven fights. This project participant was not afraid of bruises - they are not visible on his body. However, he was hampered by poor eyesight - minus eight. Doctors warned Pierre that he needed to take care of his head - each missed blow could turn into complications for the artist and even cataracts. A good sports form and careful behavior in the ring allowed the boxer Narcis to avoid serious injuries, but due to constant tension and unusual physical activity Pierre's eyes began to twitch.
The singers Alexei Chumakov and Alexei Khvorostin had a hard time. Alexei Khvorostin left the project not because of injuries received in the ring, but because street fight, in which he fell after the birth of his daughter. Khvorostin laid down two hooligans who wanted to check what kind of boxer Alexei had become. Khvorostin survived the test on the street, but the hooligans managed to break his nose and right arm. Chumakov replaced Khvorostin in the ring. In the first fight, the singer broke his index finger. AT next fights it was clear that the artist was protecting the injured hand. In addition, the duel with Nosik ended with an abundance of bruises on his face.
For Igor Livanov, the project ended with a fracture of the metacarpal bone of his right hand. The most annoying thing is that Livanov did not get injured in a fair fight, but in training. The actor was put in plaster and removed from the project, although he had already had injuries before. After the fight with Ivan Kokorin, Livanov developed a hematoma under his left eye, which is why the actor had to enter the ring in a special helmet in subsequent fights.
Ivan Kokorin was able to withstand all seven fights, while winning only one of them. The result of Kokorin's stamina was stretching of the legs and arms, abrasions and hematomas. However, this is the only participant who avoided the help of doctors.
All project participants passed the test with dignity. Despite the abundance of "industrial" injuries, fractures made the stars even stronger. Moreover, the participants of the unusual sports project knew in advance about the danger of the show. In addition, all the “boxers” were provided with special insurance, the amount of which was not disclosed.

On April 15, another reality show with the participation of famous Russian people starts on Channel One - Boxing with the Stars. Boris Moiseev, Valdis Pelsh, Sergei Zverev, Edgard Zapashny, Pierre Narcissus, Alexei Khvorostyan, Igor Livanov, Mikhail Mamaev and other famous personalities will enter the ring.
The project was curated by professional boxer Konstantin Tszyu. He also conducts master classes for participants.
The general director of Channel One, Konstantin Ernst, said that this would be a project where actors, TV presenters and people of unsportsmanlike life realizations would sort things out among themselves in the ring.
One boxing couple is already known - Moiseev and Zverev. “I will beat Sergei Zverev so that it won’t seem enough,” Moiseev said with enthusiasm. - Oh, how I look forward to this! From April 1, I started going to the gym to train.”
The Zapashny brothers have already chosen one of the fitness clubs, where they not only train daily, but also take boxing lessons and get ready for the show.
But many celebrities who received an invitation to participate in the project, for various reasons, refused.
It should be reminded that the Circus with Stars project has not yet been completed, where the participants mastered six circus skills: a trainer, a rider, a juggler, a magician, a gymnast and a clown.

There is only one problem that scares me about Yana - she is absolutely not afraid! During the rehearsals, it was very difficult for me to convince Lena Korikova that a rabbit can be taken by the ears. Lena was very worried that he was stuffy and hot in the box, ”said Karina Bagdasarova, trainer, Honored Artist of Russia.
And Edgard Zapashny, trainer, Honored Artist of Russia, was most impressed by Ksenia Sobchak: “She showed herself perfectly as an aerial gymnast.”

The stars themselves took the new role quite seriously, trained daily, Sergey Lazarev even celebrated his birthday at the circus arena. He turned 24 years old.
Famous singer Zhanna Friske demonstrated her riding skills. In addition, she taught her program partner, a horse, how to walk in Spanish and how to bow.
Efim Shifrin immediately took a liking to the monkeys and prepared a performance with them. But, as it turned out, he overestimated his strength. When during the performance one of the spectators threw a bouquet into the arena, the chimpanzee Capa attacked the flowers. The comedian tried to interfere, and then Capa, offended, bit him on the hand.
