Swedish Olympic team, H&M

Few people will immediately name at least one Swedish fashion luxury brand, but everyone knows the mega-giant H&M. His design team was chosen to design the Olympic sportswear collection for the Swedish Olympic and Paralympic teams representing the country in Brazil. Among the clothes, made in blue and gold hues, echoing the national flag of Sweden, one cannot fail to highlight a sweatshirt, which lists the number of medals won by the Swedes in the history of the games - 696.

Canada Olympic Team, Dsquared 2

Designed by twin designers Dean and Dan Caten, the Canadian-born founders of the Dsquared 2 brand, the kit will be arguably the most fashionable at this year's Olympics. Among the red and white sweatshirts and t-shirts with huge maple leaves, jackets stand out - a kind of hybrid of a jacket, parkas and olympics.

Cuban Olympic team, Christian Louboutin

Without a doubt, the biggest surprise in the history of the Olympic uniform was the collaboration between French shoe designer Christian Louboutin and the Cuban national team. The black-red-white uniform is complemented by the designer's by no means famous stilettos, but no less cute sneakers and low-heeled sandals. The local Olympic Committee has repeatedly emphasized that, unlike the uniforms of other countries, Cuban equipment was created for purely sporting purposes and is not intended for sale as souvenirs. Although in reality this fact is explained rather by the lack of financial opportunities to produce the form on an industrial scale.

Russian Olympic team, Bosco

In the graphic and color scheme of the collection, the motifs of Alexander Rodchenko's poster graphics, Vera Stepanova's "sportswear" projects, abstract paintings by Malevich and Kandinsky are easily guessed. The kit, identical to all members of the Olympic team, includes 48 items, from the traditional ceremonial tracksuit for the awards ceremony to flip flops. Each Olympian will receive a unique, limited edition T-shirt featuring a poster-style pictogram symbolizing their sport.

US Olympic Team, Ralph Lauren

Designer Ralph Lauren has been creating uniforms for US Olympians since 2008 (his contract will end in 2020). This year's outfit for the opening and closing ceremonies, as in previous years, is made in the style of an Ivy League student uniform and is designed in the colors of the national flag. The only criticism she received was for the tricolor T-shirts reminiscent of the Russian flag - they were replaced with classic blue and white vests.

French Olympic team, Lacoste

The creative director of the brand, Filipe Olivier Baptiste, of course, came up with a collection in the colors of the national flag, and the Lacoste branded polo was chosen as the basis for the male and female look. The form, which is decorated with the symbol of France, the Gallic rooster, turned out to be extremely functional, almost minimalistic, but at the same time not without true French chic.

UK Olympic Team, Stella McCartney and adidas

Stella McCartney, like four years ago, was developing a new collection with adidas. The last few years have been spent developing new high-tech materials that are 10% lighter on average compared to 2012, and the British Chamber of Heraldry has been commissioned to design a special emblem for the Olympic team that appears as a silhouette on sweatpants, tops and T-shirts.

Italian Olympic team, Giorgio Armani

The kit for the Italian national team was created by the pride of the nation, designer Giorgio Armani under the label of his sports line EA7 Emporio Armani. In specially filmed black and white advertising campaign this Olympic collection was attended by professional models Penny Lane and Pietro Boselli, also known as "the most beautiful math teacher."

April 25 at the Tretyakov Gallery. For more than a hundred years, athletes from our country have been going to the Olympics. And let them see off according to the mind, that is, based on the results shown, but they are met by clothes. We remembered how the outfit of the national team, both casual and formal, has changed during this time, choosing its most striking options in the history of the Olympics. We invite you to take a fascinating journey in our time machine.

The first Russian gold

First Olympic gold Russian team won in 1908 in figure skating. Nikolai Panin-Kolomenkin demoralized the greatest Ulrich Salkhov - the application program of our figure skater forced the Swede to refuse to participate in competitions in special figures. If not for the well-known unprecedented judgment, then Panin-Kolomenkin could have left London altogether with two gold medals. In addition to the first victory, the Russian athlete was also remembered for his costume, which resembled the archer's caftan from the time of Ivan the Terrible.

The debut of the color of the sky

After the First World War and the revolution, the connection between domestic athletes and the Olympics was interrupted for as much as 40 years. The debut of Soviet athletes at the Games was Helsinki-1952. The everyday uniform was a regular dark blue suit with the inscription of the USSR, which set the standard for our sports fashion for a very long time. The blue color also prevailed on the ceremonial costumes of athletes. On the picture Olympic champion in the discus throw, Nina Ponomareva and Elizaveta Bagryantseva, who won the silver medal in the same event, demonstrate their uniforms at the opening ceremony of the Games. Naturally, there could be no criticism at that time - perfect shape for ideal athletes. The leader of all nations is pleased.

80 shades of gold

In 1980, at the first home Olympics, little has changed in the training uniform, except for the addition of a variant with a red tint to the well-known suit. Another thing is the opening ceremony. On it, our people appeared in strict light-colored suits that did not differ in color for men and women. If we recall that the USSR national team won 80 gold medals in Moscow, then the option was clearly happy.

"The concept has changed"

The 1996 Olympics in Atlanta was the first such summer competition where the Russian Federation emerged as an independent state. This means that the design of standard equipment, which remained unchanged throughout the Soviet era, simply had to change radically. In the United States, the Russians appeared in white and blue suits, obliquely separated by a tricolor. Simple, elegant, stylish. In the photo, Alexei Nemov receives his next award at the awards ceremony.

Minimalism in sports

Two years later, in Nagano-98, the blue color dominated among the Russians, as in Atlanta. This was reflected in the everyday uniform, which is not worth dwelling on much, since it has not changed much since the previous Games, and in the front at the opening ceremony. The minimalist design left this otherwise pretty option completely unrecognizable. The only exception was warm scarves, which were present in both girls and boys.

Last time

Sydney 2000. Significant event. Not only the best performance of the Russian team at Summer Games up to the present, but also farewell to blue hues for years to come. The costumes in which in the photo we see champions in sword fencing Tatyana Logunova, Karina Aznavuryan and Maria Mazina became the last form of this type.

Russian patterns

After Sydney, Bosco became the official outfitter of the Olympic team, which was marked by the disappearance of blue in the “civilian” form out of sight, and the coming to the fore of combinations of red and white - it should be noted, very successful. The form of Dmitry Berestov, who became the best weightlifter in the category up to 105 kilograms in Athens, as well as its variants from subsequent summer, and Winter Games, was instantly recognizable, which should be the main thing for sportswear.

Red and White
In Olympic Turin, speed skater Dmitry Dorofeev, who became vice-champion there, carried the Russian flag at the opening ceremony in a uniform that, by all accounts, became one of the most successful in the history of the team's performance at the Olympics. Take a closer look - does it remind you of anything? Well, of course, this is a slight reference to the Panin-Kolomenkin form almost 100 years ago! True, the famous Russian figure skater did not have a fur collar.

Let's go east

Beijing 2008. The standard form has remained almost the same since the time of Athens, but in the front there are notes of what we will see in Olympic London- replacing large patterns with small ones. In principle, far from the worst option, but for our flag bearer Andrey Kirilenko, he definitely did not become happy, because the Russian national basketball team failed miserably, not even being able to leave the group. However, compared to the current nightmare, it now seems like a success.

Less is better

Four years later, the conceived concept of downscaling logically resulted in the same variant of the form of the Russian national team. By the way, the assessments of the design were diametrically opposed - someone noted the non-standard idea, others said that it was dazzling in the eyes. One way or another, but the Russian volleyball players certainly liked the uniform - after all, it was in it that they stood on the first step of the Olympic podium.

“Hot. Winter. Yours"

Volunteer and relay jackets in Sochi-2014 were distinguished by their brightness and abundance of different shades. But the form of our Olympians did not differ in the same brightness. These were the standard blue suits (return to the past?), red suits with the letters RU and white suits with a tricolor on the chest, in which the Russians climbed onto the podium during the awards ceremony. The fans were able to see the last one in all its glory - the number of medals won was the largest in history.

Ode to the avant-garde

And finally, Rio 2016. The avant-garde direction and constructivism of the beginning of the 20th century were taken as a basis. How successful this decision is remains to be seen, especially since the form at the opening ceremony has not yet been disclosed. But it is already clear - all the patterns and curlicues went on a well-deserved rest for at least two years, giving way to geometry. The first impression was very good, although there were also reviews that the blue color could have been made brighter. We expect the continuation of the concept in dress uniform. I think that everyone will be very surprised if there are no white pants a la Ostap-Suleiman-Barta-Maria-Bender-bey. The dream of the great strategist will be fulfilled, but, unlike Bender, the Russians will go to Rio not to enjoy life, but to work.

Official sports suits of the Russian Olympic team

The dress uniform of the Russian Olympic team in Rio has already given rise to many jokes. Someone remembered Buba Kastorsky and was surprised that a boater was not provided for the Olympians. Someone decided that the design of the uniform was a dream come true to walk around Rio de Janeiro in white pants. For some, the uniform reminded me of the costumes of headwaiters and waiters. It seems that there was no one who would consider her beautiful and appropriate. We talked about this with Katerina Kulinicheva, a sports journalist, art critic, and fashion historian.

- What impression does the uniform of Russian Olympians make on specialists?

Dress uniform of the Ukrainian Olympic team, 2008

- In the dress uniform of our Olympians, I was upset by the secondary nature. In principle, a suit with a jacket is the traditional dress code for the Olympic Games. Olympians began to wear them even before the First World War, and until about the 60s, even the 80s of the last century, everyone walked like that.

In such blazers, club jackets with contrasting stitching, they went a lot in the 20s and 30s, including at the Olympic Games. Because of this, they periodically appear as a uniform in many national teams. But too many. Ukrainians came out in 2008 in exactly the same jackets, only in the colors of the national flag. In 2012, Belize had the same kit, only in a different color. At the same time, New Zealand had the traditional black color and also contrasting stitching, everyone said that they hit retro.

This year we have the same idea. South Korea, only everything is done more elegantly there, the line is not so wide and looks better.

Dress uniform of the South Korean Olympic team, 2016

In addition, I did not like the colors that are not characteristic of the Russian team. Nothing original was offered. They just abandoned patterns that seemed too colorful to many. When they presented the everyday kit, made in the style of the avant-garde, the leaders said that sports veterans, that is, eminent Soviet athletes, asked to make the form more modest. Understandably, the patterns annoy them: if you look at Soviet tracksuits, they were mostly dark blue, and all the trim consisted of a white stripe.

- Are there several types of uniforms for Olympians?

- The Olympic wardrobe is very large. It has competitive equipment in which athletes run, jump, swim and more. It is usually made by sports giants. There is a casual wardrobe. In the Olympic village and in general at all facilities, the athlete is required to walk in a team uniform. He can’t walk in his clothes, so they make shorts, hoodies, sweatshirts, dresses for Olympians - whoever comes up with what. Bosco did it for us too, they do everything except competition equipment.

And there is parade equipment. There may be costumes for solemn situations - for example, meetings with the president, but this is not necessarily a uniform for a ceremony.

The form for opening and the form for closing stands alone. It may be the same, or it may be two different sets.

Parade uniform of the Cuban Olympic team, 2016

The Americans, for example, showed the form for the closing ceremony - it was made by Ralph Lauren, but they did not show it for the opening. I really liked the uniform of the Cuban national team, which was made by Christian Louboutin: according to official information, this is the uniform for the closing, but it is not clear what they will wear to the opening, maybe in it. In general, the form for opening - it can be a suit that you put on once - and no one will ever see it again.

- So these are several fashion collections?

- The Olympic uniform cannot be considered as a fashion collection in the full sense of the word. It takes a very long time to make - an average of two to three years. The customer, according to the rules, is the National Olympic Committee, and all sports uniforms, especially at events such as the Olympics, are actually a series of endless approvals. It's not just the design that needs to be approved. The IOC controls just about everything.

2016 US Olympic team dress uniform

There is such a rule number 50 in the Olympic Charter, which very strictly regulates appearance everything you have on. These are very strict rules - for example, athletes are not allowed on the podium with a watch worn over a suit, they are not allowed with soft toys. The bottles they carry with them should not have anything written on them, there should be only one manufacturer's logo on the garment, it should be of a certain size, and so on.

- By what criteria, in this case, should the shape of the Olympians be evaluated?

- The public evaluates the form as it evaluates fashionable clothes. For her, the criteria are personal taste, relevance (this is when arguments like “they are not dressed like athletes” or “it’s indecent to go to the opening ceremony of the Olympics”) and compliance with fashion trends.

2016 Canadian Olympic team dress uniform

This year, Canadians are being praised a lot, for them dress uniform Dsquared was invented for the ceremony, and everyone praised it, because it was made in the spirit of current trends - sportscore, athleisure. Joggers, jackets with a rather unusual cut, elongated hoodies, fishtails. This form received the most applause. Precisely because it meets the current fashion for sports style in the way it is now understood.

People want to see something like that. But customers do not want to see “something like that”, and this must be understood. Therefore, it is not entirely correct to apply our ideas about fashion to the Olympic uniform. This is, if not a masquerade costume, then certainly a themed costume for a specific event. There you can reflect national identity or beat the theme of the host country of the Games: in Sochi there were earflaps because of this, in London someone went, for example, to rubber boots and with umbrellas. It is strange to evaluate a thematic costume event from the standpoint of personal taste and, moreover, fashion trends.

But, apparently, the public does not have the tools to adequately assess such collections.

— Nevertheless, many people evaluate our collection as comical.

- With the Olympics, that's the difficulty. You need to understand that you need to dress, as a rule, 200-300 people. And everyone is different. You have two-meter volleyball players there, small broad-shouldered gymnasts, synchronized swimmers, wrestlers, judoists, heavyweight wrestlers for 100 kg of weight. It is clear that they choose something that will sit on everyone.

The suit is more or less a universal lifesaver. Another thing is that in the fashion of the 20s there are some elements that are integrated into a modern suit. Dropped waist, fringe, beading: the 20s come back every three years. But this contrasting trim of the jackets is something that has not taken root, and therefore it is so strange for us to see it outside of a costume film, outside of a themed jazz party. Many did not accidentally remember Buba Kastorsky.

This is generally a very complex collection, it is impossible to please everyone. Some countries simply do not try to do this and deliberately create something outrageous. The opening ceremony will be watched by 2-3 billion people, and in any case, the weirder the better.

For example, such a great team as the Bermudas have been wearing shorts for many decades - at almost all the Games, including winter ones. This is their national costume.

Africans and the Middle East walk in national clothes very often. In London, there was an enchanting Angola team in very colorful costumes.

- National clothes - the same traditional version of the uniform as the suit, it turns out?

- In principle, I would single out three fashion strategies - this is a formal suit with a jacket, a national suit (sometimes a literal national one, sometimes with variations) and something sporty - a tracksuit, maybe, or some of its variations, some its elements.

The most resourceful, it seems, were the designers of the Bosco company, which since 2002 has been responsible for the appearance of the Russian Olympic and Paralympic teams. In 2016, the presentation of the uniform resulted in another scandal around the Russian Olympic team: the dress version turned out to be too similar to the uniform of the Ukrainians at the 2008 Games in Beijing. For Bosco, this is not the first such incident - when in 2012 the company was developing Olympic equipment for Ukrainians and Russians, the patterns on the uniforms of both teams were so similar that, without looking closely, they could only be distinguished by color.

The coincidences do not end there: the solemn uniform of the South Korean team also resembles the Russian one. The Koreans are unlikely to be called the most stylish team of the year, but certainly one of the most technologically advanced. Local designers have figured out how to protect athletes from the Zika virus (a virus carried by Aedes mosquitoes that broke out in Brazil a year ago): the fabric of their uniforms is impregnated with a mosquito repellent. The Russians solved the issue of protection against the virus differently: according to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, for this purpose they lengthened the sleeves of the athletes' clothing.

In Australia, the issue of well-being of members of the national team was also taken seriously. Back in the spring, a local pharmaceutical company announced the creation of condoms that prevent the spread of the Zika virus, which is also sexually transmitted, and promised to supply its athletes with them. The Australians reacted more simply to the design of the uniform: the shoes were provided to the Olympians by the democratic American brand Tom's, and the local sports brand Sportscraft was involved in the development of clothing.

Not all countries immediately adopted the form of their team. In Iran, it had to be hastily redone: the inhabitants of the country compared the first version of the costumes of Iranian Olympians with a classic orange-and-blue eraser. The design seemed so bad to the Iranians that one of the most popular jokes was about ISIS, which should take responsibility for its development. The design was changed, but the current version is also not enthusiastic among the inhabitants of the country - now it is compared with a clown costume or pizza, but nothing can be changed. A heated debate over the Olympic uniform has also unfolded in Georgia, where more than 7,000 residents of the country have signed an online petition against the adopted design. In their opinion, it is more suitable for a folklore ensemble than for athletes at competitions.

The revival in RuNet was caused by the presentation of the American uniform from Ralph Lauren. The reason was T-shirts made in national colors - red, blue and white. The stripes, repeating the sequence of colors on the Russian flag, have become an occasion for the most daring assumptions. Someone hopes that this is how the designer secretly expressed support for Russia; others joke that the medals of American athletes will count towards the Russian national team, which has thinned due to the doping scandal.

Olympic uniform 2016 - Russia

The presentation of the uniforms of Russian Olympians developed by craftsmen Bosco on the eve of their departure to Brazil immediately turned into the already familiar holivars, mainly in social networks. The essence of the criticism boils down to the fact that the clothes of athletes are more reminiscent of porter suits and only have to do with sports style with their lower part - sneakers. Others saw in it a quote from the official uniform of Harvard students (which is also far from sports, whatever one may say).

Uniform of Harvard students

Recall that our men will appear at the opening ceremony of the 2016 Summer Olympics in navy blue jackets with white piping, worn over a white shirt with a burgundy bow tie, beige trousers and navy blue sneakers with white soles. Women will still be dressed in the same jackets, the shirt will be replaced by burgundy-beige striped vests, and the trousers will be replaced by beige knee-length skirts. Sportswomen's sneakers are burgundy.

Russian athletes at an official reception in the Kremlin

In defense of the designers, on the whole, the uniform of our Olympians is quite in line with the general avant-garde style of casual wear that was presented by Bosco this spring. Clear straight lines, bright colors of the Russian tricolor, geometric print - everything evokes associations with the art of the Russian avant-garde, famous for its strong and victorious energy. And, by the way, the current uniform contains a record number of items, so what we saw at the meeting of athletes with the President is only a small part.

Ukrainian national team - 2008 Olympics, Beijing

But among all the complaints about our Olympic form, there is one that cannot be ignored. Look at the dress uniform of the Ukrainian national team at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, which was also designed by Bosco. Maybe after 8 years, designers should be a little more creative with their ideas?

Introduced by Ralph Lauren, Team USA dress uniforms feature the traditional colors of the American flag. Navy blue jackets with gold-plated buttons engraved with Olympic symbols, white straight-cut trousers, tops and loafers in white-blue-red colors. When developing the form, according to the designer, the hot climate of Brazil, fashion trends and, of course, comfort were taken into account. Ralph Lauren is particularly proud of the development of the luminescent details on the flag bearer's jacket, which the designer says will literally light the way for the entire USA team. It sounds, of course, very beautiful and the concept is worthy, but even a world-famous designer could not avoid mistakes.

After photos of the new American uniform became available on the Web, fans from all over the world noticed white-blue-red stripes on the Olympians' jerseys, in a sequence that clearly reminded everyone of the Russian "tricolor". Scandal, of course, followed immediately. Well, on the 5th we will see if the American athletes will really demonstrate the Russian national symbol, or if Ralph Lauren will be able to save the day.

Cuba

The Cuban team was more fortunate. Not only was it worn by Christian Louboutin himself, but the final version of the dress uniform was positively appreciated by fans around the world. According to the designer, he was inspired by the athletes themselves, their characteristics, as well as the nature, culture and history of the island of Cuba. The jackets are in burgundy for men and sand beige for women, with a Cuban flag patch on the breast pocket. In general, the jackets are made with a slight touch of military style - perhaps a hint of the state structure of socialist Cuba, or maybe just a coincidence.

A feature of the dress uniform of the Cuban Olympians was, of course, shoes, seeing which Russian fans immediately remembered the sensational song of the Leningrad group. Christian Louboutin designed loafers for men and flat sandals for women. Of course, on a red sole. Everything looks stylish and fashionable, and most importantly, as Cuban athletes admit, it is also comfortable.

France

The French national team is once again dressed by the Lacoste fashion house. This time the brand has developed a form that is free, does not restrict movement and, last but not least, very fashionable. White cotton trousers, polo shirts, long shirts, navy blue bomber jackets, and, of course, the famous crocodile logo, which was painted in the colors of the French flag on the occasion of the Olympics. In general, there is nothing to complain about. Five!

Georgia

A flurry of negative criticism also fell on the full dress uniform of the Georgian team, designed by the Samoseli Pirveli store. Fans were indignant that the uniform of the athletes is more reminiscent of the costumes of the artists: men in long quilted jackets, and women in white long dresses, over which a cropped dogwood-colored jacket is worn.

Disputes erupted around how the national Georgian costume should actually look, and whether it is appropriate at all - after all, people go to the Olympics in clothes sports style only with some elements of national symbols. And then the patriarchal values of Georgia, apparently, took over, and the designers forgot about the light, joyful energy of the Olympic Games. The new uniform was not liked not only by Georgian citizens, but also by political circles, and, it seems, by the athletes themselves: in the photo, where the national team, dressed in full dress, is escorted to the airport, there is not a single joyful Olympian.

Italy

Traditionally, Giorgio Armani himself is working on the Olympic uniform for Italian athletes. At his show in Milan, the designer presented long-sleeved jackets, shorts, bomber jackets and classic polos. Everything is done in black and white colors and decorated with gilded details. A bit of Italian luxury didn't hurt the tracksuits.

United Kingdom

Stella McCartney is again responsible for the equipment of English athletes this time, having developed the Olympic uniform for the games in Rio together with Adidas. As Stella herself stated, this year the uniform has become lighter and more comfortable. At the same time, it meets all the laws of sports aesthetics: the shape turned out to be bright and fashionable. The clothes are made in bright red, dark blue and white colors and decorated with prints in the form of the British flag, the English rose, the coat of arms.

Australia

At the Olympic Games in Rio, athletes from Australia, according to Internet users, will clean rooms, open doors to the hotel and escort passengers to the plane - in a word, they will act as attendants. This is exactly the opinion of the fans when they saw pinstripe jackets, yellow silk handkerchiefs and white shorts and skirts worn by Australian athletes. The uniform for the Olympic Games opening ceremony was designed by Sportscraft, and its strange design is far from being a result of bad taste among designers, because its development took place in constant consultation with the National Olympic Committee and by the athletes themselves.

Canada

But Canadian athletes will go to the Olympics in Rio in the form of Dan and Dean Caten, the founders of the famous Dsquared2 brand. This year, designers have developed soft, comfortable and youthful clothes: elongated red and black blazers, caps, long pullovers, elasticated pants. Everything is decorated with the national symbol of the country - a red maple leaf. According to both Caten, in the Olympic uniform they managed to combine comfort and innovative designs. In general, the clothes of Canadian athletes are pleasing to the eye, but the Olympic motifs are reflected in them rather weakly.

Sweden

A feature of the Swedish athletes’ Olympic uniforms is that it was designed not by some eminent designer, but by the giant retailer H&M (which, however, is favored by many luxury brands, judging by the number of collaborations with the Swedes). In addition, the form of Swedish athletes - the most environmentally friendly - it is made from recycled materials. The clothes are presented in the colors of the Swedish flag - yellow and blue - and are decorated with splashes of gold, silver and bronze, symbolizing sports medals.

South Korea

When developing uniforms for their athletes, South Korean designers were primarily guided by security considerations for the Olympic delegation. All items of the Olympians' wardrobe are impregnated with a special solution against the bites of mosquitoes that carry the dangerous Zika virus. As for the design, it is similar to ours: dark jackets with white trim and light trousers. True, unlike us, South Korean designers have also added bright elements: iridescent neckerchiefs and socks, as well as men's ties with bright red polka dots.

While designing the uniform for the Olympians, the Chinese designers probably wanted to emphasize the country's national symbols, namely the red and yellow colors of the Chinese flag, so much that they involuntarily got carried away and clearly overdid it. There is no hint of a communist symbol at all, but unflattering comparisons with "fried eggs and tomatoes" from Web users are more than enough. A very big failure.

Ukraine

The uniform for Ukrainian athletes was developed by designer Andre Tan, who made sure that the clothes would suit any weather conditions. An interesting feature of all sets of clothes was a unique print, invented and patented personally by Andre, which he called "Diamond Ukraine". In general, the entire uniform is made in rich national blue and yellow colors, and its dress version is balanced and formalized with a neutral soft gray jacket.

Belarus

The Belarusian Olympic uniform was personally approved by President Lukashenko himself. Its main colors echo the colors of the flag and coat of arms of the country, and the national red and white ornament is used as the main print. The ceremonial set is represented by a red jacket for women and a gray jacket for men in combination with gray straight-cut trousers. But in general, the entire “Olympic” collection is notable for the fact that it includes not just sportswear, but also feminine items in casual and smart casual style: pencil skirts below the knee and tight-fitting midi dresses with a print in the form of a national ornament presented in cornflower blue and red versions. The Belarusian designers Yulia Latushkina and Ivan Aiplatov were involved in the development of the Olympic uniform.
