Open Cup is a local tournament for the game Warface, during which the Russian version of the game is used. In addition, the following rules apply during this championship:

Cards

During the tournament, only demolition cards are used, such as:

• lanes;
• D-17;
• bridges;
• Factory;
• outskirts;
• Destination;
• Castle.

The cards are selected by the elimination method. In each pair, the team located higher in tournament bracket, selects a side. The second team gets the right to strike out the last card.

Registration

Citizens of the following countries are allowed to participate in the tournament:

• the Russian Federation
• Armenia
• Azerbaijan
• Belarus
• Estonia
• Georgia
• Kazakhstan
• Kyrgyzstan
• Latvia
• Lithuania
• Moldova
• Tajikistan
• Turkmenistan
• Ukraine

Participants must be at least 14 years old and their game level must be at least 30. In order to register, each participant must provide a digital copy of their passport. This copy must be clearly visible. following points: photograph, full name, full date of birth, citizenship, series and passport number. The image size is at least 500 by 500 pixels, but not more than 1000 by 1000.

If the players need a visa, then they must decide this moment on their own.

Participation in the qualifying stage of the cup means that you give your consent to the storage and processing of your personal data. The use and storage of your data will be carried out in accordance with all norms of the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Tournament layout

Each match in the tournament takes place on the relegation, according to the playoff system. The entire tournament is divided into two qualifying stages, which are held online and final part which is held in Moscow.

In each of qualifying tournaments no more than 512 teams can participate. 2 teams from each qualifying stage advance to the final. Participation in the final includes accommodation and travel expenses for 5 team members.

Teams consist of 5 people. All matches take place with frendly fire turned on and chat turned off after death.

The battles take place on a special tournament server with special settings. Every 5 rounds there is a change of sides. The winner is the team that wins 11 rounds. If after 20 rounds the winner has not been revealed (score 10:10), the game continues until the advantage of one of the teams is 2 won rounds. Side switching is done automatically every round.

In case of a technical defeat, the team is removed from the tournament, the opponent is declared the winner of the match. The score is fixed 11:0.

The tournament schedule is as follows:

1st qualifying game day:

• 1 round - 512 teams (1/256);
• 2 round - 256 teams (1/128);
• 3 round - 128 teams (1/64);
• Round 4 - 64 teams (1/32).

2nd qualifying game day:

• 5th round - 32 teams (1/16);
• Round 6 - 16 teams (1/8);
• Round 7 - 8 teams (1/4);
• Round 8 - 4 teams (1/2).

If there are fewer participating teams, this schedule may be subject to change. Games from 1/256 to 1/8 are held in the Best of 1 format (the best in one game). Starting from the 1/4 finals, matches are held in the Best of 3 format (the best in three games). Draw and detailed schedule game days qualifying rounds will be published the day before the tournament.

Permitted weapons and ammunition

Everything that is not prohibited by the rules is allowed. All allowed items, except for items available from suppliers, will be automatically credited to the tournament server when copying a character. The character will be copied to the tournament server with all available progress from suppliers and allowed items.

Prohibited for use

The following items are prohibited:

• all items and weapons for crowns;
• all automatic and semi-automatic sniper rifles;
• anti-personnel mines, stun grenade, red and blue smoke grenades, smoke grenade (white smoke) for warbucks;
• a special appearance that hides items worn by the character;
• seasonal items;
• all items that protect against the first hit.

All prohibited items will be removed during the process of copying your character to the server. In addition, everything that is prohibited by other rules of the game, as well as by the legislation of the Russian Federation, is prohibited.

Other points

• The eliminated player has the right to rejoin the game. If a player is eliminated from a match before the start of Round 1, the match starts again.
• If a player fails to connect, then the team has the right to use a substitute. The substitute player must be named in the entry form in advance. A team can make no more than 2 substitutions during a match.
• If the team is unable to perform with the full squad, then it is given an additional 10 minutes to prepare. If it was not possible to find the missing player, then the team will be awarded a forfeit loss.
• It is forbidden to use in the team not declared players, as well as players participating in another team. Banned players also cannot participate in the tournament.

Additional terms

• Team captains need to be online 30 minutes before the start of the tournament.
• Before the start of the match, the captain must determine the composition of the team, and after the match, provide the referee with a screenshot of the score.
• Communication with the judge must be maintained using one of the available messengers: skype, mail-agent, icq.

Video broadcast

• Video broadcasting of matches is carried out on the official youtube channel Warface.WarfaceTV1 and WarfaceTV2 technical accounts will be used to cover matches.
• The organizers choose the games to broadcast on their own. Before the start of the match, the referee notifies the teams that the match will be broadcast. Moreover, the broadcast is carried out with a one and a half minute delay.
• The player participating in the tournament automatically agrees to the broadcast of the matches in which he participates.

Procedure for consideration of appeals.

• All claims regarding violation of the rules of the game must be submitted within ten minutes after the end of the match. The complaint is submitted through a special form on the website pvp.mail.ru.
• The referee's decisions in any situation, including those not described in these rules, are final and not subject to discussion.
• Discussing the final decision on any situation made by the tournament judge may result in the disqualification of the team.

WARFACE OPEN CUP

Season 1 will consist of four stages: Challenge Cups I through IV, eliminating all but two teams in each Challenge Cup. There will be regional restrictions, and Warface Open Cup will take place in three officially supported regions: Europe, North America and Asia. The winners of the Masters League and the Playoffs will be invited to compete in the LAN finals in Moscow!

There will be up to 128 teams allowed to compete in the European Challenge Cups, 8 selected teams will have a round-robin style of a tournament - each contestant will play against all others - in the Masters League. First six teams move to the next season.

The tournament will begin with online battles and end with the international LAN final, where foreign teams will challenge the best teams of the RU server. Traditionally, there will be one league for everyone and two separate leagues: masters and professionals.

When will Warface Open Cup: Season XIV matches start?

Key dates:

The winners of each round of the Challenge Cup will receive direct quotas in the next season's Masters League.

Master League

The Masters League will feature promising teams that have kept their quotas at the end of the previous season, or scored enough points at the end of previous seasons. Games will be held in a round robin system - each team will play with each.

Masters League players will go through the most difficult path: they will have to fight for rewards and quotas in both play-offs, and in the Wild Card. This information is detailed in the infographic.

If there are free slots in Masters League XIV, then everyone will be able to apply for participation. The teams that registered in this tournament and scored the most points in the previous competitions will take the vacant places. Hurry up, applications are accepted until 12:00 on October 1st.

Pro League

Ten strongest teams from the previous stages of the Open Cup will meet in the Pro League. As in the Masters League, the participants will fight in a round robin system in nine rounds.

Based on the results of all matches will be selected two strongest teams which will take place in international LAN final. Teams with a less impressive result will be able to continue fighting for the championship in the matches of the second stage of the Wild Card.

The first eight teams will retain their positions and will be able to participate in Pro League matches next season. The squads that took the last two lines final table, will have to fight to maintain their place in the Pro League with the teams that took 1st and 2nd places in the Masters League.

II stage:wild card

First stage

In the first stage of the Wild Card, the teams will fight:

• those who took 1-8th places in the Masters League;
• 4 teams that took first places in the Challenge Cup of the current season;
• 4 teams that won the second series of play-offs.

A total of 16 teams will play matches in the Single Elimination system. This means that the losers will leave the tournament, and the best teams will go to the second stage of the Wild Card.

Second phase

At this stage, four more participants in the grand LAN final are determined. 16 teams will take part in the matches:

• 8 Pro League teams;
• 8 winners of the first stage of the Wild Сard.

The teams will be divided into the tournament bracket according to their achievements during the 14th season of the Warface Open Cup. All games of this stage will be held according to the Double Elimination system. This means that the teams that lose once fall into the lower bracket, and after the second defeat they are eliminated from the tournament. The exception is the teams that have reached the final.

III stage: International LAN-finals

As in the 13th season, teams from all over the world will meet in the decisive battles for the main prize of Warface Open Cup: Season XIV: 6 strongest RU-server lineups and 2 teams from other regions of the planet. We remind you that teams from North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

The final competition will take place in early 2019.

Prize fund

The prize fund of the competition is 5,500,000 rubles!

1st place - 2,100,000 rubles.

2nd place - 1,100,000 rubles.

3rd-4th places - 550,000 rubles each.

5th-6th places - 350,000 rubles each.

7th-8th places - 250,000 rubles each.

For the best players of the tournament, a personal achievement is intended: "Hero of Our Time" - to become best player one of the LAN finals of official tournaments.

Go to your profile and take a close look at your profile home page.

Proceed to the next step and enter your correct passport details.

In the next step, upload a digital copy of your passport (page with photo and personal details). The image must meet the specified requirements.

At the last, fifth step, press the button "Save" to confirm the information entered earlier.

Waiting for an invitation from the captain

The team captain will send you a request to be added to the roster.

You can see all received invitations in your profile on the right side of the screen.

To join the team, you must click the "Confirm" button. Click "Cancel" if you want to leave the team.

Create a new team

If you are a team captain, after filling out your profile, you can create a team on pvp.mail.ru and manage the roster, add replacements and register for the tournament.

Click on the "Create a team" button and specify the name, the number of players (according to the requirements of our tournament, up to 5 people) and the game discipline "Warface".

Tournament selection and registration

To register for a tournament, go to the "Tournaments" section and select the one you need.

Attention! Qualifying rounds March 8-9 and March 15-16 are displayed as two different events. Choose the tour you need!

After reviewing the description of the tour, click the "Register" button. The service will display the name of your team. If everything is correct, click "Register Team".

Important! After the registration is completed, the team's application will be sent for review and it will not be possible to make changes. To change the data of the players after this step, the captain will have to remove the team from the tournament and re-enter after making all the changes.

After the closing of the acceptance of applications, all captains will be sent to the mail participation confirmation request. You must follow the link provided in the letter and wait for the registration to complete successfully. The team status will change to "Participation Confirmed"

Keep in mind that if at least one of the players does not meet the requirements of the tournament (age under 14 years old, rank below 25, incorrect copy of the passport or passport data, game block), the entire team will be removed from the competition.

Age restrictions and additional conditions

Players over 14 years of age can take part in the tournament. Having a passport is a must.

It is also necessary to have a character with a rank higher than 25 on any of the Warface servers.

In case of getting into the finals, participants aged 14-15 years old can arrive at the tournament only accompanied by an adult, whose travel and accommodation is not paid by the organizers. The accompanying person will have to send to the organizers in advance a digital copy of the power of attorney from the player's parents to accompany him to the tournament, a digital copy of the accompanying person's passport and an electronic ticket confirming the arrival of the accompanying person.

Can I participate if I do not live in Moscow?

Can. In case of getting into the final, the player's travel and accommodation in Moscow will be paid by the organizers.

Can I participate if I am under 14?

Only fully completed teams will be allowed to participate in the tournament (minimum 5 people, maximum 7 including substitutions).

Can players be from different clans?

Yes. They may even be from different servers.

Will the players of the tournament be given game equipment?

Player accounts will be copied to the tournament server. All weapons that the character has, except for those prohibited by the regulations, will be available for use. Nothing will be issued.

Will there be a broadcast from the tournament and streams of games?

If my account is blocked until March 8-9, can I participate in the qualifying rounds?

You can apply with the team for the second qualifying round.

Will there be an opportunity to appeal the result of a match?

The opportunity will be provided that the protest is filed immediately after the end of the game and a valid reason for it is provided.

How to get to the tournament server?

Players whose participation in the tournament is confirmed have access. In the Game Center, they can select "Open Cup" from the list of servers. The server is open from 17:00 Moscow time on March 7 until the end of the competition.

Filing a protest against the result of a match

Please note that you can only appeal the result of the current round until it ends. Only the team captain has the right to appeal. You cannot submit more than one complaint for the same tour.

To file a complaint, go to the pvp.mail.ru service in the "Tournaments" section.

Select from the list the tournament in which this moment participate.

Go to the "Grid" section and click the "Protest" button.

Fill out the complaint form. Columns "Subject" and "Comment" are obligatory for filling.

You can upload a graphic to support your complaint. When uploading an image, pay attention to the requirements for it.

The protest will be considered within 3 hours. The result will be announced in a letter to the email address specified by the team captain when registering on pvp.mail.ru.
