Radio-controlled cars. The Palace of Culture "Dream" held a race of radio-controlled cars "Dream Formula" Competitions in racing on radio-controlled cars

For the second year in a row, the glorious village of Agalatovo near St. Petersburg hosts the national championship. This year there are not so many participants, but nevertheless 57 people appear to be registered. The competition will be held over three days from February 27 to March 1.

The route configuration does not differ from last year. Added fences, changed the color of the markup. Video broadcasting is conducted on two screens, in the hall and in the boxes. Improved audio broadcast. Wi-Fi network launched.

On Friday, members of the SPbKAM club prepared the track for the race by common efforts. Carpet rolls are double sided taped to the floor - no more accidental tape slips, it's a pleasure to ride.

Drivers from Tyumen, Yekaterinburg (Samoilenko, Zolotavin, Piskunov), Moscow (Lopukhin) and Elektrostal (Nedryanko) arrived for free training. Unfortunately, Ilya Shupyk's trip was canceled at the last moment. The pilots all had a few hours to get used to the track and select the basic settings.

Artem Lopukhin immediately "took the bull by the horns" and after 3 batteries showed a circle of 11.5 seconds. This is almost a record level for athletes from St. Petersburg, for whom the track is home.

Unfortunately, there is no way to post photos and videos yet. I hope on Saturday and Sunday I will succeed.

So, everything is ready for the next championship of Russia. Key to start!

"Moscow's main shock forces" pulled up. The opening ceremony was held with a general formation. According to the schedule for Saturday, 2 training sessions and 4 qualifications were planned.

Three teams take part in the team event: Moscow, St. Petersburg and Tyumen. In the DTM-10 classes, pairs of leaders immediately stood out. In the first case, this is Laptev-Lopukhin, in the second, Trofimov-Egorov.

In general, the atmosphere at the competition is very calm and friendly. There are no big deviations from the schedule, everything is clear and according to plan. Lunch at a local canteen was a pleasant surprise =)

RCE-12 Final A-3

Our guests from Tyumen and Yekaterinburg hurried to the train, so only 4 models took part in the race. From the first turns of the race, it became clear that Anatoly did not intend to give up the victory. He managed to stay close to Ivan, sometimes even getting within attack range. Perhaps it was this fact that confused Laptev. Ivan made a mistake, Anatoly is in the lead, but he immediately makes a mistake and lets Ivan back. Ivan starts to move away, but is mistaken again. This time the blow is serious - the model could not stand it. Departure. Anatoly brought the race to victory and became the new champion of Russia!

Kirill Trofimov goes into the gap. Alexei regains second place. Vodnev makes a mistake and allows Petrov to feel like the fifth. Several laps continue their fight. Yuri gets the job done. And Vodnev also misses Chepizhny. A number of Gumenyuk's mistakes lead to the fact that Petrov moves up - to 4th position. The leader is mistaken, the marshal puts him on the wrong side. Alexei Egorov is in the lead, followed by Ryzhenov and Trofimov. Kirill bypasses Alexander.

DTM-10 Standard Final A-2

Trofimov makes a mistake on the first lap, rolls back to 6th place. Mass blockage at an output on a straight line. Ryzhenov is in the lead. Cyril makes his way upstairs. A series of offsets Petrov-Gumenyuk-Chepizny. The circular helps Trofimov to get around Yegorov and take 2nd place. Gumenyuk overtakes Vodnev in the fight for fourth place. Trofimov gets Ryzhenov and bypasses on a straight line. Alexander makes several attempts to return the position, but is mistaken. Vodnev erroneously misses Petrov "on the circle" and loses his position.

DTM-10 Standard Final A-3

In this final, the fate of the first place was decided. Petrov at the start bypasses Gumenyuk. Egorov breaks into the lead, Trofimov can't get him. Aleksey makes a mistake at the exit from the chicane and loses his lead. Trofimov rolls over on the pancake, but gets back on his wheels and continues the race as the leader. At the next bypass of the roundabout, Kirill crashes into him, Egorov rolls up, there is a side-to-side fight, Egorov's model flies off the track.

2. Lopukhin
3. Karpov
4. Trofimov

DTM-10 Final A-1

In the first final, Ivan Laptev immediately took a high pace and began to break away from his rivals. Artem Lopukhin kept a short distance. Trofimov began to put pressure on Karpov, but he made a mistake. Naumov took advantage of this and actively competed for 4th place. Nevertheless, Kirill turned out to be stronger and began to roll up to Vitaly again, but the race is not eternal, Karpov kept 3rd position.

DTM-10 Final A-2

The second final began with a clash between Yegorov and Naumov in the fight for 5th place. The top four gradually stretched, but suddenly Trofimov, as in the first final, began to actively press on Karpov. The outcome of this confrontation was decided by a collision with a circle, which Kirill miraculously avoided and slipped past. Vitaly, in an attempt to catch up with an opponent, made a mistake in turning into a straight line. Meanwhile, Lopukhin, turning over on a pancake, let Laptev go even further. The finish. Ivan Laptev is the champion of Russia 2009. The fate of the second and third places was decided in the last third final...

DTM-10 Final A-3

The first three immediately went into the lead. In the struggle, Yegorov knocked Naumov to the opposite part of the track, right on the trajectory in the fastest section of the track. Ivan Laptev was unlucky - he flew into Alexander's model at full speed and broke the suspension. Vitaly Karpov didn't let go of Artyom, but behind him there was a "showdown" for the third position. Kirill Trofimov emerged victorious from it and began to quickly drive off. On the fourth minute, the careless marshal "substitutes" for Artyom's model, a terrible blow to the leg. Artem still manages to keep the lead, but Vitaly is already "breathing in the back" and longs for the final second place. Artem makes a mistake after the diagonal, Vitaly takes the lead! There is a tight fight, contact. Lopukhin leans against the rail, Karpov manages to continue moving. 30 seconds to finish. Karpov makes a mistake and rolls over. Artyom rushes past, and right there Kirill Trofimov! Attempt to overtake, contact and Cyril remains to stand "in the rake". This is how the final ended.

How to choose a car for racing?

In fact, all radio-controlled cars can be divided into two types, regardless of scale and engine. Cars are highway and SUVs. Road models and buggies from the SUV class are suitable for racing.

The next moment - this is the scale. The type of engine embedded in it depends on the scale of your machine. For professional racing, models 1:8 - 1:24 are perfect, because they are equipped a priori with more powerful engines and, accordingly, the speed will be higher.

Build model or ready to race? You can understand which model you see in front of you by the abbreviations on English language. ARR - "almost ready to go" (almost ready to run). KIT - prefabricated kit. We recommend assembly models for those who have long been addicted to RC buggy racing. For beginners and those who do not want to “steam”, we recommend ARR models.

ICE or electric? You need to understand one simple point. For RC car racing electric motors have one important point. You have been riding for 15-30 minutes on the track and your model needs to be charged. You need to keep a few replacement batteries on hand. "Filling up" the electric motor is easy enough, just change the battery and keep racing. ICE engines are considered slightly more powerful, but the main distinctive feature them from electro, is that you use fuel, it gives you a chance to plunge into the atmosphere of driving with your head and feel like a real auto mechanic. Choose what is closer to you.

What else to pay attention to to choose a racing buggy?

Engine power and speed. Look at these two parameters, consult with specialists before buying and specify which top speed can develop your auto. Is it possible to increase the maximum speed in your model due to additional gadgets? Check all these points.
