In the very center of Russia, literally thirty meters from zero kilometer, as part of the celebration of the 870th anniversary of Moscow, a unique facility dedicated to extreme water sports sports - playground, consisting of a pool with a reversible winch and an installation for generating an artificial wave. This project will certainly go down in the history of Russian and world wakeboarding.


The wake park was designed by SPIN specialists. A special pool has been installed on Manezhnaya Square, consisting of two sections fifty and twenty-five meters long.



A line of figures is placed in the pools and the gap between them. Riders will be able to try their hand at two different transition boxes, a reversible kicker, a rooftop rail and a wide quarter pipe. A hefty wallride was located on the platform connecting the pools. The figures are designed specifically for this event by the joint efforts of the SKILLPACK team, which created the Olympic snowboard park in Sochi, and KINGWINCH Wake System, an experienced manufacturer of winches, figures and other wakeboard equipment from St. Petersburg. Powerful traction will be provided by a modern reversible winch. The park promises to be interesting for both pro-riders and beginners.


The total length of the track for professionals is eighty-seven meters; fifty meters (one section) - the length of the track for beginner riders. The width of the pools is eleven meters, which will allow confident guys to comfortably jib on the figures and jump flat. Depth - one meter.


The equipment and infrastructure of the spot will please even the most demanding riders in terms of comfort: warm locker rooms, a heated starting area with infrared heaters. The water in the pools will be kept crystal clear by special filtration systems.



The site will be illuminated for night skiing with a view of the Metropol Hotel and Red Square. From the surrounding reservoirs, our favorite sport is transferred to the very center of the city.


Visitors are provided with the necessary rental equipment: wetsuits, boards, vests and helmets. Professional trainers will help beginners get on the board and experienced athletes learn new tricks.

The grandchildren of all the riders participating in the revolutionary wake events on Manezhnaya Square will be able to boast unique photos grandfathers on the boards against the backdrop of the Kremlin. A professional photographer will work on the spot.

On September 8, 9 and 10, competitions dedicated to the City Day will be held here, as well as demonstration performances world stars. On September 9 and 10, demonstration performances and master classes by professional flowboarders from the USA, the birthplace of flowboarding, will take place.

On City Day, Tverskaya Street, which will become pedestrian on September 9 and 10, will feature trampolines, a climbing wall, a pump track and a skate ramp.

Experienced rider and titled athlete. His sports achivments can be listed for a long time. The 2017 season is still going on, and Roman already has victories in such competitions as the Moscow Championship and the Natalia Rumyantseva Cup.


Roman is the only member of the wake community who had the honor of carrying olympic fire, moving on a wakeboard behind a boat.


Roman has been taking part in international competitions for many years, defending the honor of the country as part of the wakeboarding team of the Russian Federation.

Most titled Russian athlete following the results of the current season, this year's champion of Russia in wakeboarding, Nikita, as always, demonstrated an impeccable style.
He enthralled the Chinese delegation, who greeted his every trick with thunderous cheers.


Nikita's opinion is authoritative for many riders. "The spot turned out to be very cool! It's nice to see that the site is made convenient not only for spectators, but also for athletes! This is not an ordinary pool with a pipe and a springboard, but a cool park with many different lines! Only 75 meters of water is a park, in which has a quarter, wallride and two sliders where you can ride from one to the other! In a word - fire!"


Spot in a matter of days attracted the attention of wakeboarders from different cities of Russia. At the time of writing, a record number of participants have already registered for the competitions, which are scheduled for September 8-10 - 120 athletes from 22 subjects Russian Federation. And this means that there will be something to see on the City Day on Manezhnaya Square!
