Exercise can strengthen your musculoskeletal system. They have a beneficial effect on the motor apparatus, preventing the development of age-related changes. With moderate training, lymph flow to the spine increases, and this is an excellent prevention of osteochondrosis. By using physical activity it is possible to activate the work of the central nervous system, resulting in an acceleration of not only metabolic, but also psychological processes. Children involved in physical education can better learn school material. Adults thereby increase their endurance, improve performance.

Why are physical education lessons important in school?

Never before has the problem of low physical activity in children and adolescents been as acute as it is today. This causes many factors, among which one can consider the general enthusiasm of children computer games and social networks. Parents of the modern children's generation constantly played outdoor games, and now children are only interested in computers. At the same time, motor activity is now experiencing such a deficit that 2-3 physical education classes per week is already a drop in the ocean, which is not able to influence the physical development of school students. And if we add here the more frequent statistics of tragic cases during the passing of standards, then a logical question arises: is it necessary to conduct physical education classes at school at all? Maybe it's time to remove them altogether. school curriculum?

Such a radical approach to eliminating this problem is, of course, unreasonable. Moreover, it can be compared to suggesting the guillotine as a remedy for headaches. It is necessary not to exclude physical education, but to somehow help ensure that it is as useful as possible and the guys begin to consider it an integral part of their Everyday life. For this to happen, fundamental changes must be made in the teaching of such an important subject in schools.

What are the problems in teaching a physics lesson?

Today, physical education at school has to face many problems, namely:

  • Outdated teaching methods;
  • Lack of professional specialists;
  • Lack of funding.

If someone really cares about the health of the younger generation, then it would be time to take decisive steps to eliminate the problems of teaching physics in schools, and as soon as possible.

The question of outdated programs and teaching methods: And this is quite relevant today! A minimum number is allocated for physical education lessons in schools, while students are required to pass standards that not everyone can cope with. Apparently, it is expected that schoolchildren will train independently after school, which contributes to the improvement of their athletic performance. However this approach nothing less than a utopia, especially when you consider what the current craze for school students in computer games and the Internet.

Physical education should be aimed not at assessing the physical development of schoolchildren, but at development itself. Passing the standards from an untrained child will not bring any benefit, but, on the contrary, can harm his health. Unfortunately, there has been an increase in recent tragic cases caused by this.

What are school standards for physical education?

School standards are not a simple whim of a teacher, but an official requirement of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

The state should be interested in the health of the next generation, and therefore it develops norms that help motivate students to improve their health and develop physical quality. Regulations are divided into five types, namely physical qualities:

  • Endurance;
  • strength;
  • Agility
  • Flexibility;
  • coordination.

So, to get a good grade in physical education, students must be comprehensively physically developed.

What happens to the standards after they are passed?

After passing the standards and receiving assessments, they are sent to the centers for collecting statistical data. There they are processed and averaged. This helps to get a picture of whether the physical development of students meets the requirements proposed by the program. If the need arises, the standards can be simplified or complicated, but this depends on the direction of the dynamics. Physiologists use this data to track at what age children show a strong increase physical indicators. In general, standards are not only an assessment, but also a whole chain of useful data.

Exemption of a student from physical education - harm or benefit?

Parents, for various reasons, try to exempt their child from physical education lessons at school. In particular, some are worried about the health of the child, while others simply do not want their child to have a low grade in the certificate. The basis of any cause must be health problems, or poor physical development, which can interfere with the child's physical education lessons. However, in fact, for students with such problems, on the contrary, it is more useful physical activity compared to his peers.

Systematic, well-chosen physical exercises and proper nutrition you can do real miracles. Moreover, this applies to everyone and everyone, especially for children, since their growing body is more susceptible to the beneficial effects of physical culture. Given this, parents should not rush to “get” the cherished emancipation certificate, which allows them not to go to physical education classes, but instead, it is better to talk with the teacher and find out about health groups or therapeutic gymnastics so that physical education becomes an integral part of the life of a little person.

Parents should be persistent in this matter and make every effort in this direction, and then by the end of school, lagging behind their physical development the child will be able to get an excellent grade in the certificate, and more importantly, good health and excellent physical form. Isn't this a more valuable reward?! This is especially true for parents of children with overweight. Many mothers strive to free their fat children from physical education classes so that, again, classmates do not laugh at them, but for a child this is a disservice! Fat children even more need regular physical activity, outdoor games in physical education.

The standards are developed for all students belonging to the “basic” health group. Students in the "preparatory" group need to take only the standards that are not included in the contraindications section. For the “special” group (SMG), there is no provision for passing standards; a separate program operates for it. Ideally, students with health problems should be taught separately, and they should have a special regimen.

Nowadays, society does not attach due importance to physical education lessons at school. Someone thinks that there is nothing interesting and useful in physical education lessons at school and it is better for the child to take additional lessons, while someone is just too lazy and he/she does not go to these lessons out of principle. An even more frightening trend is the fact that the promotion of a lifestyle in which sport has an important and fundamental role has come to naught in our country. That is why it is necessary to understand and realize what is the usefulness of physical education lessons at school.

Many parents believe that physical education teachers at school are people who have nothing to do with sports or sports education. It is immediately important to note that this statement is fundamentally not true. First of all, it is necessary to realize that today, without being a professional athlete in the past or a person with a sports education, it is almost impossible to get a job in a school as a physical education teacher. This fact indicates that all those children who will be engaged in physical education at school under the supervision of a specialist practitioner or theorist (depending on the type of teacher’s previous activity) will at least be able to achieve good results in certain sports disciplines, if they want to .

It is very important that people attending physical education classes develop motivational qualities in themselves. If we compare in ordinary life people who paid attention to sports and those who never wore sport suit, then the difference in life motivation is visible to the naked eye. People involved in physical education, and therefore the majority of those who attend physical education classes at school, are much more successful, since even in their school years in physical education classes they develop such qualities as determination and overcoming themselves.

According to statistics, those who do not attend physical education classes on a regular basis are twice as likely to get sick during flu epidemics than those who regularly attend physical education classes. As a result, those who get sick more often have more academic problems because they attend fewer classes at school. It would seem that skipping classes at school and unwillingness to attend physical education classes at first sight are in no way connected. However, if we trace the causal relationship described above, it becomes clear why it is so important to go to physical education classes and not look for excuses for ourselves to once again sit on the bench, while classmates pass standards or just play sport games.

If all of the above arguments are not convincing enough, then a small experiment should be conducted. The student is required to compare his state of health for two months. Let him not go to sports at school for one month and sit on the bench. In another month, you must attend all physical education classes and follow all the instructions of the teacher. Each day of these two days, it is necessary to leave an entry in a special diary in which the student will leave his impressions of well-being and general condition organism. After two months, reread the diary and compare your entries. Surely the conclusions for many will be amazing, but what they will be can be found out by conducting this experiment.

Of course, it is rather difficult to call modern school physical education perfect. Yes, and there are many reasons for this. But if you approach this lesson more carefully, consider what the teachers offer, do not try to dodge and hide somewhere in the gateway, then in the future it will be possible to express many thanks to the teachers for this.

Now let's move away from high-profile phrases and try to figure out what is the real benefit of being in the gym, or on sports ground. First of all, it's a matter of physiology. A growing young organism requires mobility in order to be able to disperse blood throughout the body. That is why children are at recess and demolish ceilings in corridors or classrooms. And the more you try to keep them in the strictest discipline, the louder they will scream at recess.

Physical education lessons are designed to balance this imbalance. Properly built physical warm-up allows you to disperse excess energy throughout the body. In this case, there is no overwork, as well as the danger of stretching or other kind of injury. Moreover, thanks to the active exercise there is a moral recharge of the body, when the brain is temporarily disconnected from complex mathematical calculations, or thoughts about a literary plot, allowing a person to refresh his thoughts. In the future, this helps to cope with complex tasks that have been left to you in the end.

Among other things, physical education sometimes allows a person to show hidden talents, which in a different environment he will simply be embarrassed to show. After all, here, in fact, everyone is equal and everyone is in equal conditions when few people will joke about your successes. But an experienced teacher will be able to assess the potential and develop it in the future. This is how future football players, volleyball players, basketball players, and athletes manifest themselves. Many after visiting the gym want to develop themselves, improve their bodies and improve their health. And this is precisely what is valuable in school physical education, as a source of limitless opportunities in the future.
