Articulation gymnastics for children is poor. Articulation gymnastics. Collection of articulatory tales. Articulation exercise "Comb"

To pronounce the correct sounds with the appropriate intonation, a person spends a lot of energy. To reproduce oral speech, many organs work, each of them must be activated at its own time, according to a certain position. From birth, the baby's speech apparatus is developing, he learns to pronounce sounds, then words, with each moment of growing up, speech changes, and new skills are acquired. Each age has its own criteria for assessing oral speech, some children are a little behind the norm, many have speech disorders.

Articulation gymnastics is designed to help the baby in correcting shortcomings and pathologies in children and adults. Speech therapy tasks form a clear pronunciation, facial muscle movements during a conversation. A set of tasks is selected according to individual parameters; for healthy children, children with pathologies and adults, exercises should be different.

Speech therapy training can be useful for children of any age, in order to achieve good diction, you need to have an active work of the facial muscles. Recently, pathologies of speech development in babies are very often detected. preschool age. , which have deviations in the correctness of sound pronunciation, is a necessary measure and part of the correction. The goal of speech therapy training is to develop and deliver a pronunciation of sounds that is understandable to everyone around, to develop clear movements of the speech apparatus.

Even small defects in speech development and pronunciation can ruin the rest of a person’s life, develop psychological complexes in front of peers and ruin the formation of a person in the bud. Whistling or incorrectly pronounced sounds are obtained due to deviations in the development of the articulatory apparatus, the muscles of all organs involved in speech must be well developed.

Modern teachers of preschool institutions and elementary grades recommend including speech therapy tasks for the speech apparatus, not only in case of correction of violations, but also for healthy, properly developing children. Thus, training the speech apparatus will become a measure to prevent the occurrence of deviations in oral speech.

Some of the main reasons for turning to speech therapy assignments:

  • in some cases, slight deviations can be corrected at home, without the participation of a specialist;
  • children with serious pathologies will get a chance to speak clearly, these tasks with a speech therapist will speed up the recovery process and put on excellent diction;
  • slow or slurred pronunciation in children is also corrected by these exercises, with the help of exercises, the effect of "porridge in the mouth" is easily removed;
  • there are task complexes for all ages, from kids from 2 years old to adults.

Important! For children, good pronunciation is very important for learning success, as writing develops along with oral speech.

A speech therapist selects based on age and individual deviations. Articulation gymnastics for preschoolers is a good help in learning and developing correct diction.

Complexes of exercises for the development of articulation in different age groups

In infancy, the active work of the organs of speech already begins: lips, tongue, cheeks, palate, larynx, nasopharynx; facial expressions work, jaw movements occur. These are the first steps towards the formation of the articulatory apparatus and oral speech. Speech therapists make complexes for kids from 2 years old.

Work with a speech therapist can be carried out en masse (whole groups), individually with a specialist or at home with parents. At home, classes are advisable only if a person does not have serious deviations.

The gymnastic complex includes exercises that can strengthen facial muscles, to develop an accurate supply of their strength and mobility, for active participation in the production of oral speech. Speech therapy training consists of two types of exercises:

  1. static - to hold one pose;
  2. dynamic - involve rhythmic exercises with a constant change of movements and postures.

The goal of gymnastics is to develop the ability to control the strength of the voice, to hone the correct movements of the muscles of the speech apparatus, in accordance with which a clear pronunciation of sounds and an active flow of oral speech are formed.

Articulation complexes should correspond to the age group:

  • A set of classes for children from 2 to 4 years old should, first of all, not be long, since it is difficult for such kids to keep their attention. You can deal with children of this age for 5-10 minutes all day, if the baby is not assiduous, you can divide this time into two approaches - in the morning and in the evening. This complex of articulation gymnastics includes the following dynamic exercises: "watch", "snake", "balls". Static: "behemoth", "pancake", "smile". You can see more options for tasks for a given age on the pages of our website, it is recommended to draw up a lesson plan at home, together with a speech therapist - the specialist will explain how each exercise is performed correctly and will be able to monitor the baby's improvements.
  • from 4 to 7 years old. At the age of 3 years, it is already possible to find out how a child’s speech develops in accordance with the norms. Usually longer classes are compiled, children over 5 years old are already easier to learn and are able to sit still for a long time. It is important to constantly encourage and praise the child, these lessons are not a place for criticism. Such articulation gymnastics may contain a “fence” activity, in which the baby should smile broadly so that both rows of closed teeth are visible, this position must be held for 10 seconds. Articulatory gymnastics at this age helps to learn written speech. It is good to include the “swing” exercise here, for training the muscles of the tongue and upper palate. The duration of the exercise in this age category can reach 15 minutes a day.

Articulatory gymnastics for adults should be compiled by a specialist, correction of deviations over the age of 7 years is much more difficult, since the formation of the articulatory apparatus has already completely taken place.

Class Conduct Rules

Difficulties in the clear pronunciation of sounds and words in many cases can be corrected with the help of a complex of articulatory gymnastics.

  1. classes should not overload the child’s psyche and exhaust him, this also applies to adults - you don’t have to work hard on each exercise until your head starts to feel dizzy - everything should be gradual and slow;
  2. tasks are best done in front of a mirror;
  3. it is better to perform all exercises under the account, setting a pace that the baby can pull;
  4. classes should be held regularly, for a long time, each time you need to add something new to the exercises, increasing the complexity;
  5. with preschool children it is better to practice 2 times a day for 7 minutes;
  6. it is important to follow the changes, so it is better to deal with a specialist - a speech therapist;
  7. in the case of pathologies, classes should be accompanied by work with a psychologist, massage, and a visit to a neurologist.

Children 2-3 years old are difficult to put into practice, so all exercises must be performed in game form, on our website you can find complexes of classes in verse - such a fun one does not tire the baby ahead of time.

Such developmental workouts at home are not able to completely replace classes in a speech therapy room, only a speech therapist will be able to deliver a properly developed speech.

Gymnastics for arms and legs is familiar and familiar to us. It is clear, after all, why we train muscles so that they become dexterous, strong, mobile. But why train the language, because it is already "boneless"? It turns out that the language main muscle speech organs. And for him, as for any muscle, gymnastics is simply necessary. After all, the language must be well developed enough to perform subtle purposeful movements called sound pronunciation. Pronunciation deficiencies aggravate the emotional and mental state of the child, prevent him from developing and communicating with peers. So that this problem does not arise in the child in the future, it is worth starting to engage in articulatory gymnastics as early as possible. For children of two, three, four years old, articulatory gymnastics will help to quickly "set" the correct sound pronunciation. Children of five, six years old and beyond will be able to largely overcome the already existing violations of sound pronunciation with the help of articulatory gymnastics.

At first, articulatory gymnastics must be performed in front of a mirror. The child must see what the language is doing. We adults do not think about where it is in this moment tongue (behind the upper teeth or behind the lower ones). With us, articulation is an automated skill, and the child needs to acquire this automatism through visual perception, constantly exercising. Do not be upset if some exercises do not work the first time even for you. Try to repeat them with your child, confessing to him: "Look, I can't do it either, let's try together." Be patient, gentle and calm, and everything will work out. Practice with your child daily for 5-7 minutes. We offer you articulation exercises that you and your child will regularly practice.

Here are simple exercises that you and your child can start doing now, and next week, I will show you new exercises.

Learn to open and close your mouth wide and calmly. We repeat the exercise 3-5 times. Give your child time to rest and relax. We suggest swallowing saliva. Again, repeat the exercise 3-4 times.

We are learning to do an exercise that speech therapists call "Smile".
Widely part the corners of the lips, exposing clenched teeth. We return the lips to a calm position. Give your child time to rest and relax. We suggest swallowing saliva. We repeat the exercise 3-4 times.

We will bend the edges of the tongue,
Do the same as me.
The tongue lies wide
And, like a cup, deep.

Learning to do the exercise "Cup".
We open our mouth wide, put a wide tongue on the lower lip, bend the edges of the tongue with a “cup” and slowly lift it by the upper teeth. Then we invite the child to lower the tongue, close his mouth, relax, swallow saliva. We repeat the exercise 3-4 times.

Ready to rock again and again.
kitten smiles,
He tries just like you.

Learning to do the exercise "Pendulum".
We open our mouth, stretch our lips into a smile, stretch our tongue, strain it, touch the sharp tip of the tongue to either the left or right corners of the lips. We make sure that the tongue moves through the air, and not along the lower lip, so that the lower jaw does not swing. We perform 6-8 times. We remove the tongue, close the mouth. We give the child time to rest and relax, we offer to swallow saliva. We repeat the exercise 3-4 times.

Articulation exercises in pictures, poems and videos, a step-by-step description of the articulation gymnastics technique. How to perform articulation exercises with a child?

Articulation gymnastics in pictures, poems, videos.

We pronounce correctly and clearly the sounds of our native language due to the good work of the articulatory apparatus, its mobility and differentiated work. various bodies. In our speech, sounds quickly replace each other, so you need to be able to quickly change the position of the organs of the articulatory apparatus.

articulatory apparatus develops in a child not immediately, but gradually during the life of the baby and his speech practice.

For all preschool children, articulation exercises are useful, which contribute to the formation of accurate, clear, differentiated movements of the organs of the articulatory apparatus. For this, it is used articulation gymnastics.

The purpose of articulation gymnastics.

The goal of articulation gymnastics is working out certain positions of the organs of the articulatory apparatus, necessary for the correct pronunciation of the sounds of the native language; development of mobility, accuracy, coordination, differentiation of movements of the organs of the articulatory apparatus.

How to check the mobility of the organs of the articulatory apparatus in a child?

The mobility of the organs of the articulatory apparatus is necessary for the pronunciation of the sounds of the native language. Exist basic movements, which are needed to pronounce all the sounds of the native language. It is these movements that we will now discuss.

First you need to find out if the child can do them separately, and then whether he can smoothly, quickly and easily switch from one movement to another, opposite to him.

Below are the main basic exercises articulation gymnastics, where you can train mobility of the organs of the articulatory apparatus. By doing these exercises with your child, you will also be able to check and evaluate how developed his articulation apparatus is.

Articulation gymnastics: six basic exercises.

Exercise 1. Smile - Tube.

Ask the child to stretch their lips into a smile, while the incisors should be exposed (visible), that is, the smile should be wide.

Verses for the first movement of the articulation exercise:

The wide Neva is a river,
And the smile is wide.
All my teeth are visible -
From the edges to the gums.

Our lips smiled
Straight to the ears stretched.
You try "iii" say
Show me your fence!

Pull lips straight to ears
Frogs like it very much.
Smiling, laughing,
And their eyes are like saucers.

Then ask him to make a "pipe". To do this, pull your lips forward into a tube. Please note - when switching, there should be no movements of the lower jaw. Only the lips move!

Verses for the second movement of the articulation exercise:

An elephant came to visit us -
Amazing child.
Look at the elephant
Pull your lips with your trunk!

I imitate an elephant - I pull my lips with a trunk.
And now I release them and return them to their place.

Poems for alternating the first and second movements in the articulation exercise No. 1.

If our lips smile
Look - the fence appears.
Well, if the lips are a narrow tube,
So we can play the flute.

Door lips are flexible.
They can become a smile.
Can be assembled into a tube
Then smile again. (Author - T.A. Kulikovskaya)

Our lips are very flexible.
Deftly drawn into smiles.
And now vice versa:
Lips stretch forward (Author - T.A. Kulikovskaya)

Exercise 2. Open and close the door.

How to do the articulation exercise:

First movement: Teeth should be closed, lips in a smile. The incisors are exposed (big smile). "The door is closed."

Second movement: Teeth open(about two centimeters), lips in a smile, incisors are bare. "The door is open."

Movements in the articulatory exercise alternate: there is either closing or opening of the teeth. The lower jaw moves. In this case, the lips should not participate in the movements. The lower jaw should not move forward.

“We will open the doors together,
And then we'll close them."

Another variant of the game content of this exercise is “Cold - hot”. We open the window when we are hot. And close the window when it's cold.

Exercise 3. Clock.

How to do the articulation exercise:

First, we do the “Smile” exercise: the teeth are open by about two centimeters, the lips are in a smile, the incisors are bare.

Then ask the child to stick out his tongue and turn to the right corner of his mouth. Then do the same movement, but to the left corner of the mouth.

It is necessary to alternate the movements of the tongue to the right and left. At the same time, the lips are in a smile, the lower jaw should not move to the right or left, but must be motionless!

Poems about the Merry tongue for articulation exercises.

Rested and stretched
Turned left, turned right
Like this, like this:
Tick-tock, tick-tock.

Exercise 4. Shoulder blade. Needle.

How to do the articulation exercise:

Movement 1. Put a wide relaxed tongue on the lower lip. Lips in a smile, incisors exposed, mouth open.

It turned out "Shovel"

"Let our tongue rest,
Let him take a nap."

Movement 2. Ask the child to stick a narrow tongue between the incisors, lips in a smile, incisors exposed, mouth open.
It turned out "Needle".

I smile: here is a joker -
The language has become narrow.
Between the teeth, like a knot,
A long tongue came out.

The alternation of these two movements and switching the position of the tongue from wide to narrow. At the same time, the mouth is open, the lips do not move.

That is a needle, that is a shovel
You guys have tongue. (T.A. Kulikovskaya)

The tongue lies with a spatula
And it doesn't tremble at all.
We are a needle then
Let's pull the tongue with a point.

Exercise 5. Swing.

How to do the articulation exercise:

Movement 1. Raise the wide tip of the tongue to the tubercles behind the upper teeth (to the alveoli), the lips are in a smile, the incisors are exposed, the mouth is open.

Movement 2. Ask the child to lower the wide tip of the tongue behind the lower teeth, lips in a smile, incisors exposed, mouth open.

In the exercise, you need to alternate the movements of the wide tip of the tongue up and down.

Verses for the articulation exercise:

On a swing I'm flying:
Up - down, up - down.
I sing, I fly, I scream:
Up - down, up - down.

On the swing
I'm swinging
Up down,
Up down,
And I rise higher
And then I fly down.

On the swing I rode:
It flew up and went down.

Exercise 6. Kitty.

How to do the articulation exercise:

Movement 1. Lips in a smile, teeth are bared, mouth is open. It is necessary to bring the wide tip of the tongue closer to the lower incisors.

Movement 2. Move the tip of the tongue along the bottom of the mouth back deep into the mouth to the hyoid ligament. In this case, the back of the back of the tongue should be curved upwards.

In the exercise, you need to alternate the movements of the tongue back and forth. At the same time, the lips are in a smile, the incisors are exposed, the lower jaw does not move.

Poems for articulation exercise

Our kitty got angry:
She forgot to wash the bowl.
You don't get close to her
The pussy can scratch!

You can also do a variant of the exercise - "Slide" and hold the position of the back of the back of the tongue at the top on the count.

The tongue falls behind the teeth,
Its tip is pressed against the teeth.
The back is very, very arched,
Here is what a slide turns out! (Smirnova E.B.)

The back of the tongue now
It will become a mountain for us.
Come on, slide, get up!
We're going down the hill!

How to evaluate the performance of articulation exercises by a child?

Articulation gymnastics gives results only if the exercises are performed correctly, accurately, with smooth transitions. If you do it without tracking the technique of performing exercises, “for show”, then it does not achieve its goal.

When a child performs articulation gymnastics, it is necessary to evaluate:

  1. Smoothness of movement- the movement is performed without interruptions and shocks, easily, smoothly, without twitching.
  2. Differentiation of movements- the movement is performed only by the tongue without accompanying movements of other organs (lips, lower jaw).
  3. Uniformity and symmetry of movements- movements are performed symmetrically to the left and right.
  4. Definition- the child knows how to perform this exercise correctly, how lips and teeth should be located in the exercise, how the tongue works, tries to perform movements clearly, accurately, in full.
  5. Accuracy- achieving the result of the exercise. Reached the required position of the tongue, lips.
  6. Sustainability- the child can keep the achieved position of the lips and tongue at the expense of an adult. First, the adult counts from one to five. Then the duration of holding the position is gradually increased to ten.
  7. switchability- the ability to quickly, smoothly, easily repeatedly switch from one movement to another while maintaining High Quality doing the exercise.

Be sure to tell the child about his achievements, comparing the performance of the exercises before and now: what he is already doing better, what is not working so far and what we will work on next, what to strive for.

How to do articulation exercises correctly? Useful tips.

What is the best way to seat a child next to you during articulatory gymnastics?

During articulation exercises, the child should sit, not stand or lie on the floor or run. It is better if he does not sit at home on the sofa, but in front of the mirror on a chair with his feet resting on a hard surface - the floor. The main thing is that the child has a straight back, the body is not tense, the legs and arms are in a calm position.

During the exercises of articulation gymnastics, the child should see his face in the mirror. You can do exercises in front of a large mirror, seating the child next to you. If there is no large mirror, then you can give the child a small mirror, which is convenient at home or when doing gymnastics with several children (a group). The child controls the correctness of the movements with the help of a mirror.

Also, your face should be clearly visible to the child when you show movements.

How are exercises for articulation gymnastics selected?

Exercises for articulatory gymnastics cannot be selected arbitrarily according to one’s interest or desire, according to the “like it or not like it” principle. They are combined into complexes according to a certain principle.

The complex of articulatory gymnastics includes exercises that are needed for a certain group of sounds of the native language. For example, there is a complex of articulatory gymnastics for whistling sounds. You can find it in the article There is a complex that contributes to the development of the positions and movements of the organs of the articulation apparatus necessary for pronouncing the sound R. You will find it in the article That is complex of articulatory gymnastics- this is a well-founded system of articulation exercises, which prepares the articulation apparatus for pronouncing a certain group of sounds of native speech.

First, individual articulation exercises of the complex are practiced, and then exercises are given to switch from one exercise - movement to another movement. The principle of selection of exercises - from simple to complex.

If a certain movement is difficult for a child or a group of children, then they do not go further. First, they work out this difficult movement, and then they introduce new exercises. In order for the child not to get tired of the old exercise, it is introduced into different plots.

Is there a universal articulation gymnastics complex for all sounds?

One of the options for such a basic complex for checking the mobility of the organs of the articulatory apparatus is given in this article.

Another simple one basic complex, with which you can start articulation gymnastics with children, you will find in the article

When and how often do you need to do articulation exercises with children?

Need to do gymnastics daily. Since when new movements are being worked out, they must be fixed, become habitual, strong, more and more accurate and light.

The time for articulation gymnastics is about 3-5 minutes. It is very convenient to do it before breakfast or morning exercises.

Previously, articulation gymnastics was carried out daily in the morning at kindergarten in each group. Each child had his own mirror, there was a complex that was practiced with the kids every day. Now, unfortunately, this is not the case. But - a deep bow to those educators who do this very necessary work on sounds for children in kindergarten! And they continue to do it now! This work is not very noticeable, but the results are wonderful! Thank you for your love for children, for your work, for your native language!

How to conduct articulation gymnastics with children of different ages?

At any age, articulation gymnastics is carried out lively, fun, emotionally, in the game!

With three year olds All exercises are carried out in the form of a fun fairy tale game. The plot of a fairy tale can be invented by yourself and changed, including various articulation exercises from the complex.

There are no great requirements for the technique of performing exercises at this age. The main thing is that the kids learn the basic skills.

With four year olds also used playing tricks and game plots - "fairy tales of the Merry Tongue". The requirements for the exercise are increasing. Children get acquainted in a playful way with the organs of the articulatory apparatus. They learn that the mouth is the home of the tongue. That in this house there are two doors - one of them is lips, and the other is teeth. And they learn to perform the basic sets of articulation exercises.

With five year olds already articulatory gymnastics is carried out differently. It is necessary to carefully monitor the clarity and smoothness of the movements of the organs of the articulatory apparatus, the correctness of the exercise in all its nuances. Children are taught to hold the position of the organs of the articulatory apparatus from 5 to 10 seconds (at the expense of an adult). Exercises are carried out not only at a slow or medium, but also at a fast pace, since the movements are already well practiced and familiar to the child.

All complexes of articulatory gymnastics are practiced.

With children of six the emphasis is on the development of phonemic hearing. And articulatory gymnastics includes exercises for differentiating different sounds.

How to do articulation gymnastics with a group of children?

In order for articulation gymnastics to give a result, it is necessary for an adult to see the exercises performed by each child! Is it possible with a group of kids? Yes. In this case, articulation gymnastics is carried out as follows:

  • First, an adult talks about the exercise, shows a picture, reads a poem.
  • Then the adult shows correct execution exercises, explains how to do the movements.
  • Next, the children perform the movement.
  • An adult checks the performance of the movement in subgroups (no more than five people in one subgroup), comments on the correctness of the exercise.

If the exercise is well performed by all the children of the group, except for a few people, then additional individual work should be carried out with such children. And ask the parents to support you and the child and do articulation exercises at home.

Articulation exercises should the child succeed right away or not?

As a rule, at first the child’s exercise is not very good. His movements are tense, there is no lightness and smoothness. Then, gradually, as the training progresses, the tension during the exercise disappears, the coordination of movements increases, unnecessary accompanying movements disappear, the movement becomes more symmetrical.

If the child, despite your efforts, still does not get movements or they are performed asymmetrically (in relation to the right and left halves of the face), then it is best to contact a speech therapist. Also, a speech therapist should be contacted if the child does not work out the smoothness, accuracy and stability of the movements of the organs of the articulatory apparatus for a long time.

What to do if the child does not get articulation exercise? I told him about it, but now he does not want to do it.

If the child does not succeed in the articulation exercise, then in no case should you be upset yourself! Also, you can’t tell a child that he can’t do it! Otherwise, he simply refuses to continue to engage. After all, for kids, articulation gymnastics is a real load and training.

The best thing:

1) Immediately tell the child that in this exercise he is already succeeding: “You see what a beautiful smile you have!” , “Your tongue is wide! Well done!”, to praise for it.

2) Then show the child the exercise again, focusing on the nuance that he did not understand and which is still not working. And set a new task - “We are already doing this with you. And now we will learn the tongue ... (we name what exactly).

"Speech development from 0 to 7 years: what is important to know and what to do. Cheat sheet for parents"

With poor sound production, articulation gymnastics for children is needed, the goals of which are:

  • develop a certain position of the tongue, lips, cheeks, which is necessary for the pronunciation of a particular sound or their group;
  • train the muscles of the speech organs that do not have the desired tone;
  • so that the tongue, lips, cheeks can quickly change their position and hold it.

Articulation gymnastics can be done both at home and in class with a speech therapist.

When doing it on your own, parents first need the help of a speech therapist, who will determine the child’s problems, and then tell you how to properly organize classes. This measure is necessary because there are different types of sound pronunciation disorders that occur both with hypertonicity and with muscle flaccidity.

Parents should remember that the productivity of gymnastics depends on how interesting the child is. Coercion, threats and obsession are excluded. To make articulation gymnastics for kids interesting, you need to show pictures, do everything in the form of a game.

Remember the following rules:

  1. For the first time, perform exercises in front of a mirror: this is necessary for visual control of the position of the lips, tongue movements. Since the child is not yet aware of exactly how he should lie, in what condition his cheeks and lips should be, it is important for him to see this position.
  2. The cycle starts with simple exercises and gradually move on to more complex ones. There are approximate dates for how long one new exercise takes approximately, but you need to focus on the individual pace of the child: someone understands how to do it faster, and someone needs more time.
  3. The lesson is built according to the following scheme: the child must repeat the old exercise on his own, then you can continue to work according to the plan.
  4. Exercises must be repeated in cycles twice a day, devoting them to 5-10 minutes.
  5. Each age has its own requirements: for children of 3-4 years old, the priority is to master the main muscles of the tongue, lips, 5-year-old children should perform the exercises smoothly and clearly, and 6-7 year-old children should keep a stable pace, it is easy to do static exercises.

To make it more fun, articulation gymnastics is organized to the music. For two year olds this is great way associate a pleasant stimulus with useful actions for the pronunciation of sounds according to the age norm.

Articulation gymnastics for children 3-4 years old in verse

If you print special thematic pictures, then articulation gymnastics is very interesting and the meaning of the movements becomes clear to the baby. At this age, gymnastics exercises are best read in verse.

Children 3-4 years old are well helped by a fairy tale about the tongue, which is an integral part of articulatory gymnastics. This is a whole cycle of stories about a funny tongue that gets into different adventures.

All exercises are divided into 2 large groups - static and dynamic. The task of the first is to teach them to hold the position, as in the image. And the second group is needed in order to master the transitions from some movements and positions of the speech apparatus to others. Here is a list of diverse exercises for statics:

  • "Pancake": the baby should put his tongue on the lower lip, while keeping it relaxed and wide. The exercise is considered mastered when the holding time of this position reaches 7-10 seconds.
  • "Fungus" - an exercise in which the tip of the tongue needs to quickly touch the palate and at the same time keep the mouth wide open.
  • "Tubule" or "Proboscis": fold the upper and lower lip into a tube and pull them up, like an elephant.

Exercises for mastering different dynamic movements:

  • "Watch": the mouth is wide open, and the tongue is busy with the same work as the pendulum of the clock - it moves from side to side from one corner of the mouth to the other.
  • "Swing": the position of the jaw is the same as in the "watch", only now the tongue swings like a swing - up and down, from the upper lip to the lower.
    Such articulatory gymnastics in verse will help make the lesson fun and easy. There are many quatrains on the net that can accompany classes.

Articulation gymnastics for children 5-6 years old

There are many for this age. effective exercises, which are suitable for violations of various origins. So, articulatory gymnastics occurs when you use additional funds. For example, the “tasty jam” exercise involves smearing the lips with real jam or honey so that the child tries to lick them off.

  • "Ladle": the mouth opens wide and smile, stick out a relaxed tongue and slightly lift its tip up. The exercise is aimed at setting hissing sounds.
  • "Needle": the mouth also opens wide, and the tongue is pulled out of the mouth in a narrow strip.
  • “Brushing our teeth”: again a very open mouth, only now the tongue moves over the teeth, as if it were a toothbrush.

Exercise time - up to 10 seconds.

Articulation gymnastics for children over 7 years old

Children of this age will enjoy activities using a variety of products and objects:

  • draw in spaghetti or marmalade in the form of a tube with your mouth, folding your lips into a pipe;
  • put an edible straw on the upper lip and depict a man with a mustache, raising it to his nose;
  • the tongue is pulled out and an edible straw is placed there, and the child must hold it as long as possible without dropping it from the tongue - like a balancing act;
  • the tongue is arched in a cup and candy is placed there;
  • lick the lollipop from different sides.

Also, pictures are used for articulation gymnastics at this age. Although these are already guys who can do the exercises consciously, the elements of the game act as an additional motivator.

Exercise complexes

The articulation of babies during articulatory gymnastics improves significantly if the exercises are tied not only to age, but also to those parts of the speech apparatus that need to be loaded or relaxed. We offer a list of them, which is grouped according to which muscles they activate.

Complex for the development of lip muscles

  1. Alternate alternation of a wide smile with the extension of the lips into the proboscis.
  2. Open your mouth and pull your lips inward as if they want to clasp and hide your teeth under them.
  3. Bring the upper lip under the lower teeth, which looks like a grin.
  4. Bring the lower lip under the teeth of the upper jaw.
  5. Snort your lips the way horses do.

Complex for the development of the muscles of the tongue

  1. Lick your lips with the tip of your tongue, moving them either clockwise or counterclockwise.
  2. Stick a wide tongue out of your mouth and “chew” it a little, pronouncing “me-me ...”, “by-by ...”.
  3. Stick your tongue out of your mouth as far as possible, at the same time alternating it with either a “shovel” or a “sting”.
  4. Alternate raising and lowering the tip of the tongue to the upper palate, then to the lower jaw.
  5. Make a “cup” out of the tongue, first in the mouth, and then try to stick it out.
  6. Exercise "accordion": rest the tip of the tongue against the upper palate near the front teeth and in this position open and close the mouth.

Cheek Muscle Development Complex

  1. Inflate and deflate cheeks.
  2. Alternately inflate either the left or the right cheek.
  3. Blow soap bubbles, blow into a straw.
  4. Slap your puffy hamster cheeks.
  5. Pull in the cheeks as much as possible so that the lips fold like a fish from this.

  • The more often the exercises are performed, the faster the correction of the work of parts of the articulatory apparatus occurs.
  • If classes with a speech therapist are supplemented with exercises at home, then the result is accelerated.
  • When at the very beginning corrective work the baby resists gymnastics, start doing exercises in his presence in front of a mirror. It looks like fun enough - so much so that the child himself will want to join you.
  • Remember that babies are sensitive to praise. After classes, let the child show what he has begun to turn out to other family members, and they should actively demonstrate their delight and joy at his success.

Speech therapists

Success depends on three factors:

  • correct diagnosis of violations of the pronunciation of sounds;
  • a strict sequence of increasing the complexity of exercises;
  • timely correction of the positions of the tongue and lips with the help of massage or tools, if the child fails to copy their correct placement.

Classes that take place with a bright emotional coloring have a good performance response in kids. Remember that for them this is, first of all, a game, and giving it a corrective meaning is your task.
